An 18-metre tall statue of popular TV animation hero Gundam is lit up at a park in Shizuoka city, 150km west of Tokyo on July 6, 2010 for a press preview. The huge statue of the life sized robot, which attracted over 3 million spectators in Tokyo last year, will be displayed for the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Gundam plastic models.
