A small town girl, Anchal was exposed to magic only via her over enthusiastic father. Her father is a mining agent and her mother is an electrical engineer. As a hobby her father started collecting magic props, and soon this hobby turned into passion and so much so that his daughter, Anchal started playing with these props at the age of 3 instead of normal kid toys. And then as fate would have it, she started performing shows first traveling with her dad on a bike and doing shows in small towns and slowly moving towards small stage and then bigger crowds, today Anchal does almost 400-500 shows a year. After completing her schooling, Anchal currently is juggling with her academics and career. Through the year and she performs 2-3 shows every single day and attends college for two months. What excites her the most is the fact that she is kind of leading a secret identity life, where everyone in her college knows that there is a Jadugar Anchal; however no one knows that the girl amongst them is that same person. Atul started his magic shows at the age of 7 and his sister Dhanlaxmi was his first assistant. Since then, he has come a long way. He didn’t go through any formal training and it’s all a result of persistent practice and hard work. He believed in developing his own tricks and illusions. He made equipments for umbrella production, candle production, dove production etc. He is also known for his unique style of presentation wherein his tricks are embedded into themes like Rodeo, Circus, Aladin and Mafia based themes. He pays a lot of attention to script development too. He has been part of many television shows like Jadoo, Khul Ja Sim Sim , Lycra MTV awards etc. Lance Burton and David Copperfield, are two magician he likes to watch. A regular Mumbai girl, Kruti looks at India’s Magic Star as a mode of getting across to larger audiences. She is here to entertain and to have fun. Kruti has been guided by renowned magician William Zambago. Kruti has performed many shows nationally and internationally for channels such as BBC, KTV in South Africa, NHK in Japan as well as Star TV, Zee TV and Sony Entertainment Television in India. She comes from a completely non-magician family and the only Magician she looks up to is David Copperfield, more for his style than his s****. During her shows Kruti likes to use customized props in order to maintain a style of her own. She calls magic her very breath and cannot live without it. Initially when she started performing, a lot of people mocked her but without caring at all about them, she confidently carried on what she loved doing so much. Today she has about 20 years of experience behind her, many many shows already done and many more to come. Kruti aspires to be the best in whatever she does. She want to leave a mark and be known as an icon in whatever it is she may be doing in the next ten years. Born: June 29, 1984. He doesn’t speak much at first, is quiet and shy but is proficient in English and polished in his speech. His Hindi is relatively poor though. A long haired, rockstar looking guy, David has a decent physique and would be able to carry off physically challenging illusions. He started his magic journey with small card tricks that he bought from a local fair, he has grown several times bigger now but is still firmly rooted. David has learned his magic by watching a show on Doordarshan called Variety-Variety and other such shows. He produces exotic birds from nowhere, manipulates fire, defies gravity through levitation and keeps you on the edge of your seat with his escape acts. David has performed for the Royal family of Bhutan and says that for him, India’s Magic Star is going to be the biggest thing in India about magic. IMS is going to revolutionize the Indian magic scenario. He is pining to perform big illusions on the IMS stage. If he can end up in the top 4, it will be the biggest achievement for him.
