The stars of the small screen have been going the Bollywood way of late. We have heartily enjoyed the song sequences enacted by these stars on the various STAR One shows. One of the most recent sequences was in the much-loved show Dill Mill Gayye. Let’s take a look back at some of the other sweet, song-and-dance sequences.
Ya Rabba from Dill Mill Gayye The melancholic mood of the song makes Armaan miss Riddhima all the more, while Shilpa blames herself for the situation. Siddhant learns that Riddhima is trying to forget her past. Soon after, Shilpa is asked to assist Armaan in the general ward. |

heegi Si from Dill Mill Gayye Armaan and Shilpa are on their way to a village on official duty, when Armaan gets high on alcohol. It is at that point that he sees his beloved Riddhima in Shilpa, and is overjoyed. The song Bheegi Si from Rajneeti was the perfect setting for the handsome pair grooving together in the rain. Armaan hugs Shilpa during the intensely romantic number, believing her to be Riddhima. Shilpa is stunned to see Armaan admiring her. The drinks, however, soon wear off, and Armaan comes back to reality with a thud. He accuses Shilpa for the mistake and warns her to stay away from him, making her extremely angry. Shilpa provokes Armaan to enter into a street fight, as her way of taking revenge. |

Iktara from Rang Badalti Odhani Khanak is unable to take Khushboo and Mrs. Khandelwal’s snubs any more and leaves the Khandelwal mansion. Shantanu, bound by the call of duty, goes out to look for her. He does find her, and then begins a new chapter in their lives – one of friendship and trust. Their hearts burst into song with the first rain of the season, as if celebrating their new bond. The upbeat song Iktara from Wake Up, Sid! marks the beginning of a series of adventures in the life of Shantanu and Khanak – from Khanak helping Shantanu to wear Suraj’s clothes and forcing him to eat street food for the first time in his life, to Shantanu working as a waiter to earn enough money to take Khanak back home to Mumbai. |
