Default Roadies 6 Kolkata Audition

For someone who hasn't watched much television lately, Roadies will be the hook that your brain will be pierced with and be left dangling from. In its sixth season, Roadies is bigger than ever, with Raghu Ram's teaming up with his twin Rajeev Laxman. Which only means if you thought surviving Raghu was hell, Rajeev's joining him will be twice as painful for contestants.

Those who've been been glued to their TV set during previous seasons obviously know of the changes. Instead of 13, there will be 20 roadies...and the cash prize has been doubled, which makes it a cool Rs 10 lakh.

Watching the Kolkata auditions, it looked like the entire city turned up. Raghu was at his (insert swear word here) best, and with Rajeev sitting next to him, every single wannabe participant was (your favourite cuss word here) nervous.

Kiri Tuming, who wasn't selected last year because of his Hindi being poor, won Raghu over by simply being himself. On being asked why Roadies would want someone as dumb as him, Kiri said something like, 'You always take smart people, sometimes take dumbo also'. Of course, even Raghu couldn't help smiling.

There was this chick called Paulami De who's an out-and-out freak. She came dressed in...in...the wannabe-est clothes in all of Bengal, and Raghu and Rajeev were quick to tell her what they thought she looked like. Now some girls play dumb just for fun, but Paulami is genuinely dumb. Someone whose life is crammed with 'blonde' moments. Even if it's streaked. She spoke at length about her three boyfriends, she loves all three of them, yes. Also said something about a failed suicide attempt...man, she is so unpretentiously stupid it'd be retarded of Raghu to not select her. Some might say Paulami is more Splitsvilla material, but we think Raghu knows best.

Varisha is a hot roadie who will add to the glam quotient.

From the ones who didn't make it, three people were subconsciously begging to be thrown out. A dolled-up girl who had come very well-rehearsed and couldn't answer anything apart from what she'd parroted.

A journalist who thought her casually arty behaviour was unique enough to get her selected. She sat herself on the couch in a typically journo style, readily danced in the clumsiest manner to some music and was being so regular that it was a waste of time watching her audition.

And then, there was this guy called Tushar, who made such a big fool of himself on national television that deserves a small cash prize for it. He spoke about his girlfriend like a bloody chauvinist, and ended up weeping like a little *****. Even while being chauvinistic he wasn't good enough, so watching him sob like a little wuss gave me great pleasure. Tushar- you're a little girl in a frock and I hope your girlfriend leaves you for a lesser loser.
A whole lot of fun is what Roadies is, and the big show is yet to start. So if you haven't started watching MTV Hero Honda Roadies 6: Hell Down Under already, you know exactly what to do.
