While 2010 was a year full of achievements, the one enduring image of Indian sport will be the grit and achievement of Saina Nehwal. Not only did she become the first Indian woman shuttler to be a World No.2, she won a string of super series championships and won that all-important Gold medal No. 38 that propelled India to the second place on the medal tally for the first time. |

This decade was not about a handful of sportspersons who did India proud. There were more and no one was more powerful among them as Sushil Kumar. After a bronze in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he became the 66kg freestyle World Wrestling Champion and also won the gold in the 2010 Commonwealth Games. |
