Source had earlier reported about Sahara One’s new show Hamari Beti Raj Karegi being in the pipeline for a long time and was kept on the backburner due to other new shows. Well, it is finally set to take off.

The show was ready to launch almost a month back, with its casting done, but rumour had it that the channel had almost axed the show due to budgetary constraints.

According to a source, “The show finally has a bank of episodes and is all set to be aired after so many contemplations. The production house was pitching hard to get the prime time slot of 8.30 or 9 pm and got the 8.30 one and will air Monday-Thursday, launching on December 20.”

According to another source, “The channel might shuffle the current 9 pm show, Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki. It is one of the longest running ones, five years and counting but now might go off air in a month or two, as there are more new shows waiting to take its place, but nothing is decided as of now.”

Says an official from Rajshri Productions (Woh Rehne…), “These are rumours and we haven’t received any such notice from the channel yet.”
Benaifer Kohli, producer of the new show confirmed the news as she says, “It will air from the 2oth and has got the 8.30 pm slot.”

Well, some good news and some bad news then for the faithful viewers of the channel.

Sahara One’s new show Hamari Beti Raj Karegi which had almost finalized the cast and was ready to shoot has been s****ped by the channel as of now.

Says a source, “The show was all set to be launched next month as scheduled, but now we hear the channel has some budget issues and so they have decided to s**** the show as of now. A clear picture of the issue is not yet known.”

Benaifer Kohli, Producer of Edit 2 productions says, “I cannot comment on this now.”

Ravi Bhatia (the lead) says, “I have no idea what is going on.”
We tried to confirm the news with Mushtaq Shaikh, Creative Head, Sahara One but he remained unavailable.

TellyChakkar had earlier reported about Hamari Beti Raj Karegi on Sahara One being s****ped citing budget issues but now we hear that the show will be back but with a slashed budget. The news is that the show has a new face since the channel has decided to replace Aditi Sajwan.

A source informs, “We have settled things with the channel now and the budget issues have been sorted out. The show will now have to be produced with a minimum budget. Aditi Sajwan who was to play the female lead has been replaced since she was not too happy with budget cut...We then approached Akanksha Juneja of Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaoorat Hai fame who has given her approval and is ready to work with us even with the current budget. We then decided to relieve Aditi.”

Adds another source, “Many other artists of the show also are also being replaced due to the same issue. Initially we had plans of replacing Ravi Bhatia too, however we did not wish to undergo the hectic process of recasting and we have decided to continue with him. Shashank Sharma will continue to play the parallel lead. If all goes according to plan then we should begin shooting from November 8th and the show is likely to go on air on December 3rd.”

While Benaifer Kohli, producer Edit 2 refused to comment on this; Aditi, Akanksha and Ravi remained unavailable to comment.

Sahara One is all ready to come up with a new show, Hamari Beti Raj Karegi.

As per our source, "It is a show based in Kanpur and the story revolves around a girl whose life gets a lot more difficult post her failed marital ceremony. It is produced by the makers of FIR.”

Apparently the "cast is completely new except Shagufta Ali who is the only known face on the show. The show will go on air around October."

We got in touch with producer Binaifer kohli and she confirmed, "Yes, we are coming up with a show on Sahara One. It’s tentatively titled Hamari Beti Raj Karegi but it’s too early to talk about it."
So yet another female protagonist on the block!
