Default October 2017 -Beaten again Strictly Come Dancing tops X Factor

RATINGS! Strictly Come Dancing tops X Factor in viewing figures again | Strictly Come Dancing 2017, The X Factor 2017, UK TV Ratings

Strictly Come Dancing 2017
continued well ahead of The X Factor 2017 once more in last night's viewing figures.

Although the gap was slightly smaller than last week, Strictly still had almost twice as many viewers.
The second live show of the BBC One dancing series ran between 6:45PM and 8:50PM as the fifteen celebrity couples all performed once

An average audience of 9.3 million viewers tuned in, only ever so slightly down on last week's 9.4 million but up on 2016's equivalent episode. Once again, a peak audience of more than 10 million viewers watched the live show.

Over on ITV, The X Factor's first bumper bootcamp show ran between 8PM and 10PM, avoiding more of Strictly than last week to average 5 million viewers, up 200,000 on last Saturday's all time low.

Earlier, Cannonball and The Family Chase were once again crushed by Strictly on the other side with 1.5 million and 2.1 million viewers respectively, although like The X Factor this was slightly up on last weekend's numbers.

Both Strictly and The X Factor will return to TV tonight, the first time that Strictly has aired on Sunday this year.

The BBC show's first results - which were pre-recorded last night - will run between 7:15PM and 8PM.

The X Factor meanwhile will start slightly earlier than recent episodes, running from 7:30PM to 9PM with another bumper bootcamp show.

Next weekend the clashes will begin to shorten, with The X Factor starting later on Saturday at 8:15PM while Strictly moves 10 minutes earlier from 6:35PM.
