CITY: Vellore The Christian Medical College Vellore located in Vellore Tamil Nadu is an unaided minority educational institution established in the year 1900. Started as a single-bedded clinic under the leadership of Dr. Ida Sophia Scudder the only daughter of second-generation American missionaries it grew into a full-fledged medical college imparting education in medical nursing and allied health sciences.

Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC)

CITY: Pune The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is a medical training institute in Pune India in the state of Maharashtra. The college is managed by the Indian Armed Forces.Established in May 1948 as a post-graduate teaching institution after World War II on the recommendation of the BC Roy Committee remnants of various Indian Army Medical Corps units were amalgamated to create the Armed Forces Medical services. The AFMC undergraduate wing was established on 4 August 1962 which is also celebrated annually as AFMC Day by its alumni.

Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC)

CITY: New Delhi MAMC was laid on Saturday 24th October 1959 by Union Home Minister Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant.The event was reported by all major newspapers.The college made a very humble beginning in 1958 with the erstwhile Irwin hospital(now the Lok Nayak Hospital) attached to it.The college is named after a great patriot and educationistMaulana Abdul Kalam Azad.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER)

CITY: Puducherry Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) can trace its origins to the Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry established by the French Government in 1823. In 1956 foundation for new medical college was laid and in 1964 hospital was inaugurated. JIPMER became an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India in the year 2008.

Institute of Medical Sciences Banaras Hindu University (BHU)

CITY: Varanasi Banaras Hindu University took roots in 1920 with the establishment of Department of Ayurveda under Faculty of Oriental Learning and Theology (1922-1927). Under the influence of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviyaji Seth Mathuradas Vissanji Khimji of Bombay donated a large some of Rs.1.5 Lacs for the Ayurvedic College. In the year 1924-25 Ayurvedic Aushadhalaya was established to 1. prepare medicines 2. teach Ayurvedic students the formulations and 3. make the Ayurvedic formulations available to general public at affordable price. To help in this arrangement a large Botanical Garden was created for raw materials that still continue to discharge its purpose.

King Georges Medical University

CITY: Lucknow King Georges Medical University is a medical school hospital and medical university located in Lucknow Uttar Pradesh India. The medical school was upgraded into a medical university by an act passed by government of Uttar Pradesh on 16 September 2002.

Vardhman Mahavir Medical College

CITY: New Delhi Vardhman Mahavir Medical College is a medical college in New Delhi. It is attached with the famous Safdarjang Hospital for clinical teaching. The college runs under the umbrella of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Vardhman Mahavir Medical College was established at Safdarjung Hospital in November 2001.

CITY: New Delhi Lady Hardinge Medical College is a medical college for women located in New Delhi India. Established in 1916 it became part of the Faculty of Medical Sciences University of Delhi in 1950. The college is funded by the Government of India.

CITY: New Delhi The University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) was established in 1971 as a Constituent College of University of Delhi. It imparts various medical and paramedical courses. Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital is the associated teaching hospital with 1000 beds.
