Sumeet Sachdev and Aniruddh Dave in COLORS' new show 'Saath Saath'

V.G. Productions' upcoming show on COLORS will tackle youth oriented issues like drug abuse, ragging etc usually seen in a college atmosphere..



V. G. Productions, an event management company is now gearing up for producing few fiction shows on television. The production house has pitched few concepts to the leading channels and is awaiting a confirmation.

One such show happens to be 'Saath Saath' for COLORS, which is the story of a girl brought up in a Bengali family who reside in Mumbai. The story will tackle youth oriented issues such as ragging, drug abuse etc.

We hear that the show will be college-based with focus completely on the student life.

Our source says, "The casting for the show is complete. The unit shot for a pilot and the show got approved by the channel. As of now, the regular shoot has started".

We hear that Neelu Kohli will play mother to the female lead. Aniruddh Dave who is presently seen in Zee TV's Mera Naam Karegi Roshan will play the male lead in the show. New faces Shobhit Rana, Amrita Deshmukh are the female leads in the show. Sumeet Sachdev popularly known as Gomzi of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi will play the young Principal of the college, where the entire action takes place.

Our source further states, "Aniruddh's character is that of an innocent nerd who comes from a village to Mumbai for studies. The female lead will be shown as a girl who gets into all the bad habits in college, especially into drugs".

When contacted, Sumeet Sachdev confirmed that he is part of the show, but refused to divulge more information. Neelu Kohli too confirmed the news.

Aniruddh Dave simply refused to comment, while Producer V. Kumar told us, "Yes, we have such a show in pipeline. But we are waiting for a confirmation to come from the channel".
