Star World bags 3 Golden Globes
2009 begins with a thump for Star World as the channel bagged as many as 3 Golden Globe Awards. Star World’s hit sitcom 30 Rock was the big winner at the popular awards. Airing first and exclusively on the channel, 30 Rock scooped the awards, winning in all 3 categories for which it was nominated.
For the 2nd year running, Tina Fey, 30 Rock’s writer, producer and star, was announced as the best actress in a TV Comedy. Her role as Lovelorn - TV producer Liz Lemon is a huge hit and that her portrayal of the same much appreciated by the audiences. Her co-star, Alec Baldwin, also took home the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Comedy for his portrayal of network boss Jack Donaghy.
That’s not all; adding to the award series 30 Rock also won the Best Television series.
