Default Sudha and Bharti turn out to be friends in Baba Aiso Varr..

Imagine's Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo has a new angle to the story line, with Bharti and Sudha being shown as friends from their school days..

Raakesh Paswan and Nikhil Sinha's Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo on Imagine has introduced to the viewers the pitiable state of Sudha (Priya Bhatija Shah) who is time and again subjected to physical torture at the hands of her husband, Ram Avtar (Amar Sharma).

With Sudha (who has landed in hospital) getting a friend in Murli (Vikrant Massey), the lady has been requesting Murli to give her a shelter in his home. Amidst all this will open up yet another angle to the story which will reveal that Bharti (Juhi Aslam) and Sudha happen to be bosom school friends.

Our source states, "Sudha and Bharti have been thick friends from their school days, but Bharti has not been in touch with Sudha for a while now. Thro' a common friend, Bharti will get to know that Sudha is in the hospital. This is how the friends meet after a long time. Meanwhile, Murli plans to take Sudha to his house".

We hear that Murli and Bharti will continue to help Sudha in their own way, but will not come face to face for a while. The decision of Murli to get Sudha home will not be taken well by his family members.

"Murli will however, convince his family to keep Sudha in the house. On the other hand, Ram Avtar will also try to create problems for Murli and his family when he gets to know that his wife is at Murli's place", adds our source.

The revelation of Bharti and Sudha being friends will be aired in tonight's episode.

How will Bharti and Murli react when they get to know that Sudha's presence in their lives has yet again brought them closer?

Catch the new twists in Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo..

Default Beendh and Looteri are different, path breaking shows - Saurabh Tewari

Saurabh Tewari, Head of Programming - Fiction, Imagine TV talks about the new fiction launches, Beendh Banunga Ghodi Chadhunga and Looteri Dulhan...

Imagine TV is yet again going for a twin fiction launch starting tonight! Beendh Banunga Ghodi Chandhunga, produced by S. Farhan and Endemol will launch at the 9 PM slot while Looteri Dulhan, produced by BAG Films will air at the 9.30 PM slot.

At the outset, Saurabh Tewari, Head of Programming – Fiction, Imagine TV talks about the new launches in an exclusive conversation with TellyBuzz..

You have yet another twin launch in Looteri Dulhan and Beendh Banunga Ghodi Chadhunga. How is the channel gearing up for it?
We had a similar twin launch for Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo and Gunahon Ka Devta six months back, and we got a decent opening for both shows. We have yet again gone for a twin launch for Beendh and Looteri Dulhan now. Both are very different shows, slightly path breaking. We are hoping that both the shows leave an impact on the audience.

Tell us something about Looteri Dulhan? Do you think the concept of a con girl will work?
This show has a different premise altogether. We have tried to give a right balance between the so-called safe programming and the overall innovative thought process. Looteri Dulhan is slightly experimental, yet massy. The show has been presented in a different manner and has an innovative story telling. We have the elements of drama in it, but the premise is not soapy. Looteri Dulhan and Beendh Banunga Ghodi Chadhunga are for the people who have got bored of watching soapy stuff.

We see Looteri Dulhan to be a naughty love story. Do you think a younger lead cast would have been better for the show?
The story deals with real life incidents and talks about gangs that operate in the outskirts of Rajasthan. They con old men who are seventy plus in age. Looteri Dulhan is the tale of one such girl Billo who is a victim of circumstances; she is forced by her foster parents to con people. Her life all of a sudden takes a turn when a guy enters and takes her out of this mess. Looteri Dulhan was never branded as a naughty love story. We do not want the peppy romance feel in it. Having said this, Krishna Gokani is pretty young and talented. She fits the role to the 'T'. It was very critical that we cast brilliant actors in principal roles as this show is very much performance oriented. There are shows where you can carry it off only with your looks, and performance can come later. But with Looteri, we need actors to perform from day one. Most of the actors cast in the show are from theatre background. You will see veteran actors Ranjeet and Vibha Chibber playing interesting cameo roles.

Tell us about the casting of Billo, i.e. Krishna Gokani?
We auditioned lot many actors for the lead role, nearly 15-20 of them. Krishna was the best in terms of characterization and performance. I had seen a different image of the girl in Hamari Devrani, and she in fact surprised me with her talent. I would want to say that Looteri Dulhan for me is a dream cast. There are only few shows where we get what we visualize. It rarely happens that everything falls in place. When it comes to the casting of Looteri, we have managed to get actors who fit in to the characters designed.

We have heard that Mrunal Jain is the male lead of Looteri Dulhan? How different is his character?
Yes, he is almost done. I cannot talk about his character; all I can say is that the hero in the show gets to play a very challenging role..

Looteri Dulhan - The title is a bit different. Do you think it will appeal to the masses?
See, there are ample choices available when it comes to the title of a show. However, in a given scenario I feel that it is important for a show to have a path breaking title; otherwise there is a chance of the show getting lost. Any new show gets registered in the minds of viewers for the uniqueness in the promo and title. This becomes the driving force for viewers to sample the show; in case of Looteri Dulhan one can either like the title or reject it, but one can never ignore it.

What's different about Beendh Banunga Ghodi Chadhunga?
Beendh is slightly larger than life when compared to Looteri Dulhan. There is no glam factor attached to it, and there is no filmy way of story telling involved. There is this boy whose only motive in life is to get married and produce kids. We then have this girl who is determined to become a doctor. We will focus on the ideology clash and will also raise the need for girls being provided with basic education in today's scenario. Beendh will see an overall realistic approach to story telling and the atmosphere will be relatable.

Beendh has a striking similarity to the Govinda starrer, Raja Babu. What do you have to say to this?
Many people have asked me about this. All I can tell you is that the similarity is only in the lead character being the pampered spoilt brat from a rich household. The similarity starts and ends here..

There are a lot of characters to play with in Beendh Banunga Ghodi Chandhunga. The last two multi casts of Imagine, Basera and Rakt Sambandh have not worked. So how are you going to treat this joint family story?
All that matters in TV is good story telling. The success or failure of a show has nothing to do with the number of cast involved.

Tell us about the leads of the show.
The leads of Beendh are real and normal looking people. We never wanted the typical hero or heroine material for this show. We wanted a good looking girl as lead for Looteri Dulhan; at the same time we were happy to get Smita Singh to portray the larger than life vamp on TV who can take the character to a different level. But in the case of Beendh, we were very sure that the boy and the girl needed to look like people next door. We always look for people who suit the role perfectly and not vice versa, and the casting of Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo is the biggest example.

Imagine's fiction shows launch with a lot of promise, and in fact gets appreciated too. But that does not show in the overall ratings. What do you think is the reason?
See, it is an ongoing process and we believe that we will get the desired ratings sooner or later. Results do not come overnight and things need to change drastically and we need to at least give it a time, for about six months.

The GRP of Imagine has dropped of late. What do you think are the reasons for it?
Everything takes its course of time. Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna was launched along with Zor Ka Jhatka. Baba and Gunahon did give us a decent opening. Chandragupta Maurya has opened decently with a 1 TVR. Certain moves work while few don't. But we are hopeful of gaining GRP in the near future.

There is a general consensus that Imagine should not have played with the already existing fiction slots to fit in the SRK show Zor Ka Jhatka. Was this a mistake?
See, these are larger strategy level calls that need to be taken. Zor Ka Jhatka is our biggest property and we had to give it our best slot. We were looking for an addition in GRP during this phase, but that did not happen. None of us exactly know whether a concept will work or not. The damage caused is not one that cannot be rectified. We still believe that it was a correct move.

With Beend and Looteri taking prime time slots now, do you think it will be disturbed yet again when Ratan Ka Rishta launches?
We can assure our viewers that there will be no change in the fiction slots in future. We are planning various strategies and are already working on them.

So what is the immediate goal set for the two new launches?
We plan to attain an average of about 1.5 to 2 for both the shows. If we get this, we will feel that the Level 1 has been achieved. In addition to this, we are working on all our existing fiction shows and believe that they can give us the desired results.

Default 'My short coming has now become my asset' - Juhi Aslam

Juhi Aslam, the protagonist of Imagine's Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo in conversation with TellyBuzz..

Juhi Aslam is today one of the popular faces on Indian Television. She very well brings out the feelings of the midget Bharti in Imagine's Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo.

Here is Juhi in a candid chit-chat with TellyBuzz where she talks of her upbringing, her show on television and much more..

Tell us about yourself.
I come from Shikohabad, near Agra. I am doing my Bachelor's degree in Science. I want to become a doctor. I live with my parents, brothers and grandmother. My father has a footwear shop.

How did you bag this show?
The casting co-coordinator spotted me outside my college and asked me whether I wanted to act. I thought he was joking, so I ignored him. But he asked me again, and wanted to meet my parents. I couldn't believe that I had got an offer to act in a TV show! My mother was unsure about me acting on television, but my father and grandmother felt I will get an exposure on TV.

What was facing the camera for the first time like?
My first audition was recorded on a mobile phone. Later, I was asked to come for a proper audition. I am not a trained actress, so obviously I was very nervous facing the camera.

How much can you relate to your character?
I can relate to my character because I am talented and intelligent like her. I just have to be me; I don't have to act much. Sometimes I am required to cry for a scene when I'm feeling really sleepy, and that's very irritating. But otherwise, it's all fine.

How did your friends react to this?
Mummy has become very excited now. Everyone is happy for me. I got calls from friends and well wishers, wishing me luck before the show went on air. Some of them told me not to forget them once I became a celebrity!

Have you faced problems like your character in real life?
Yes. I used to feel bad about my height. When people would look at me strangely, I would cry and ask God why was I made so different from the others. But now I am more confident about it. I think I am special to God and that's why he has made me different. My shortcoming has now become my asset.

Weren't you skeptical that if the show did not click with the audience, people would have ridiculed the story, concept and the actors who were a part of it?
I did feel that way, because it was a very different concept and I had that dhak dhak going on in my heart as to how people will accept the show. But the show took a great opening and was successful in no time.

The most difficult and the funniest scene you have shot till now?
The funniest and the most difficult scene was the one when I was thrown in the swimming pool. The shot was taken at 3 AM in the morning. I did not know how to swim, it was very tough and people who were present were making me feel scared.

Define Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo in one sentence?
It is a show that is trying to show the truth and reality to the audience. This show is not like any other daily soap.

The show revolves around marriage. What is your own take on it?
I have decided not to get married.

Would you like to continue acting?
If I get good offers, why not?

Which has been the most struggling phase for you?
Struggle in life has always been there because of my height. Since I am a dwarf, whenever I go out at any function people ask me so many questions, and they would be stunned to see me. It was tough for me to face them, but now I am used to it and feel confident after doing Baba Aiso Var Dhoondo. The credit for my success goes to the Producer Raakesh Paswan.

The craziest rumor you have heard about yourself?
I am new in the industry, so I haven't heard any rumours about myself so far. But my co-actors keep telling me that I am a very nice person (smiles).

Tell us something about your nature.
I am a very simple girl; I do not have any attitude. I can make friends easily, I am emotional and not an introvert at all.

One thing you want to change about yourself.
I am a short tempered person and sometimes do not even realize that I am actually intervening in a matter which is not related to me.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
I have chosen this career and wish to get more and more work. I am really looking forward to doing some more interesting shows, especially the ones which will suit my personality. I want to do commercials and create a niche for myself here.

Your good luck charm?
It has to be my height which gave me an opportunity to become famous. And also my Producer Raakesh Paswan.

Your message to people who face such physical challenges.
Don't lose your heart, be positive as sometimes your weakness can be your strength (smiles).

Default Prakash kidnaps Bharti and Amit in Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo

Murli and Rupesh will have their task cut out as Prakash kidnaps Bharti and Amit in Imagine's Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo...

Bharti (Juhi Aslam) has a big burden off her shoulder, now that Prakash's (Shobhit Attray) real face is out before one and all in Imagine's Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo, produced by Raakesh Paswan and Nikhil Sinha.

However, Bharti is yet again troubled when Prakash in a vengeful mood kidnaps her and Amit (Jaan)!!

Our source states, "The coming episodes will bring in yet another twist when Prakash who gets let off by police decides to kidnap Bharti to get a ransom from her parents as well as Murli (Vikrant Massey). He is very disappointed that even after scheming so much, he has not got hold of any big amount. He kidnaps Bharti and Amit from the girl's home and takes them to a barren place and ties them up".

"He calls both Murli and Rupesh Chauhan and demands a certain amount of money. He also wants the jewels that Murli's parents had made for Veena's wedding. This will yet again bring Rupesh and Murli together; they will leave no stone unturned in finding the whereabouts of Bharti and Amit", adds our source.

The kidnap sequence will be on air from Wednesday..

When contacted, Juhi Aslam aka Bharti told us, "Yes, it is true that Prakash will kidnap Bharti and Amit. There is going to be some major drama now. You need to wait and watch".

Will this incident bring Bharti and Murli closer?

Only time will tell..

Bharti emotionally shattered after her father's death in Imagine's Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo...

Imagine's Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo, produced by Raakesh Paswan and Nikhil Sinha, started as the story of a loving father Rupesh who longs to see his daughter Bharti (Juhi Aslam), who is handicapped with a stunted growth, happy and well settled in marriage.

The story has now taken a dramatic turn with Bharti on the threshold of losing her father. The dying father will take a promise from Murli (Vikrant Massey) that he would always stand as a support to Bharti. But will Bharti be able to overcome this big personal loss, is the question now!

Our source states, "Rupesh will tell Bharti before dying that he will always be by her side when she wants him. In this way, the creatives will keep alive Bharti's father for the time being. Even though Murli's family will be of full support to Bharti and her mother, the question will linger as to whether Murli can accept Bharti wholeheartedly as his wife".

We hear that in the coming episodes, Bharti will warn Murli not to make yet another blunder by accepting her as his wife just for emotional reasons.

When contacted, Juhi Aslam stated, "Bharti is completely shattered and is clueless about her future. Her mother is concerned over her daughter's future all the more. Murli has promised Bharti's dying father that he will be there for her. However, Murli's decision is not known as of now".

What will Murli decide?

It's for viewers to see...
