Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

Over the years, the culture and tradition of the Mughal dynasty in India have found their way into Bollywood films. From their beautiful architecture to the gorgeous costumes, several Hindi movies have aped the glorious era.

For their upcoming release 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan', Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan shot a sequence near the Taj Mahal in Agra. Though set in the modern times, the two actor re-visited the glorious era and donned beautiful fabrics and jewellery a la the Mughals.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played the beautiful, poetic beauty by the name of Umrao Jaan.

Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam (2008)
In this film, both the lead actors - Rahul Bose and Mallika Sherawat dressed in rich brocade and accessories belonging to the glorious Mughal era.

Jodhaa Akbar (2008)
Hrithik Roshan played the great Mughal emperor Akbar and Aishwarya played his wife Jodhaa. This period film depicted the era in all its grandeur.

Mughal-e-Azam (1960)
One of the biggest box office hits in India, the film depicts Prince Salim (also known as Emperor Jahangir), played by Dilip Kumar who falls in love with a court dancer Anarkali, played by Madhubala.
