Tuhina, who played Laali’s mother on Zee’s Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo is no longer part of it. Nupur Alankar has replaced her and would henceforth play Majri’s character in the show. Apparently, Tuhina is on a maternity leave.
“I have replaced Tuhina though I generally don’t accept ‘replaced’ roles, for the simple reason being that it’s like an ill-omen. Even after getting this role, I called up Tuhina and asked for her permission for it,” says Nupur, adding, “There are several reasons why I took up this offer. Firstly, I share a long-term association with Zee TV. Secondly, I have never played a plain Jane in my serials, so this was a good opportunity. Thirdly, this is the first time I am working with Swastik Pictures so I was excited.”
Also, not everyone knows that this is Nupur’s 100th show on television. When we asked her how she feels about it, she says, “I feel tired! I now want to be a producer or maybe teach acting.”
