Sony TV' unique awards show, India Ne Mila Di Jodi to see all time favorites sizzling on one stage...



We earlier reported that Sony TV and Cineyug Films' awards show, India Ne Bana Di Jodi will hit the small screen soon. The awards ceremony will have 9-10 categories and the motive of this unique awards show is to celebrate the work of actors across all GEC's who have worked as a pair. Just as Bollywood has favorite all time Jodis like Dhramendra-Hema Malini, Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha to SRK-Kajol, this awards show will recognize popular Jodis in various categories like Devrani-Jethani, Anchor Jodi, Best Villain Jodi, All Time Favorite Lead Jodi, Best Dancing Jodi etc.

As we reported earlier, the main event which will be aired on January 2nd on Sony TV will be anchored by Kapil Sharma and Mukti Mohan. The Curtain Raiser episode was shot yesterday, and this particular event was hosted by Ali Asgar and Purbhi Joshi.

We hear that actors like Sharad Kelkar and Rajshri Thakur Vaidya (of fame Saath Phere), Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan Tejwani (of fame Kutumb), Mona Singh and Apoorva Agnihotri (of fame Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi) have been nominated for the Best All Time Favorite Jodi . They will be seen performing on the track Mere Dholna Sun from the movie Bhool Bulayya. They will be performing on a theme where they will don the avatar of all the almighty jodis like Shiv-Parvati, Radha-Krishna and Ram Sita.

We hear that Shaleen Bhanot-Daljit Kaur, Yash Tonk and Gauri Tonk have been nominated for the Best Dancing Jodi.

The ground event of India Ne Miladi Jodi will be held on 24th December, and it will be aired on January 2nd 2011. The Nomination Special willl be aired on 26th December. The unique part of this awards is that all the 50 odd nominated actors will be performing for the main event. The rehearsals for the same have started.

We contacted Ali Asgar and he confirmed that he is anchoring the Curtain Raiser episode. He will also be seen as the host at the Red Carpet.

Sony TV and Cineyug gears up for an extravagant awards show, India Ne Banadi Jodi...

Sony TV is gearing up for a big awards function titled 'India Ne Banadi Jodi' which will have about 11 categories and will recognize the talent of television stars across all channels. The idea is similar to the Zee Rishtey Awards and Star Parivaar Awards wherein actors will be felicitated for the characters they play on screen.

The latest we hear is that the Award Function is going to take place on 24th of December. The function will include all the fun and masti along with performances coming from actors, and of course the award giving ceremony. We too hear that Mukti Mohan and Kapil Sharma, the winners of Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo will be anchoring the award function.

"Talks are still on within the channel to bring in more celebrities for the award function," adds source.

We contacted Mukti Mohan to know about the same and she confirms, " Yes, I and Kapil have been finalized to anchor the award function on Sony TV, but I can't say anything more".

TV’s popular saas-bahu and devrani-jethani jodis

There's an interesting awards function tonight featuring the best jodis on Indian television over the years.

The entire TV fraternity and many from the film industry will be present at this event — India Ne Bana Di Jodi Award — that will be aired at 8 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.

Over the past week, India voted for its favourite jodis, divided in nine categories, ranging from favorite couples, saas-bahus, vamp-villains, comedians, devrani-jethanis to anchors and judge ki jodis. With three nominees in each category and couples like Jay Soni and Ragini Khanna, Barun Sobti and Ankita Sharma, Anita Kanwar and Suchitra Pilgaonkar, Aashka Goradia and Sumit, Sudesh Berry and Sachal Tyagi competing for their respective categories, the competition promises to be quite fierce.

Anchored by Mukti and Kapil, the event will also have sizzling performances by actors. Evergreen dancing couples like Shaleen and Daljeet, Hard Kaur and Savio, Yash Tonk and Gauri will be seen shaking a leg. Some rib-tickling skits by saas-bahu jodis like Lata Seth and Pooja Joshi, Anita and Supriya Pilgaonkar, Savita Prabhune and Swati Anand and mythological acts by yesteryears' favourite jodis including Rajashree Thakkar and Sharad Kelkar, Gauri Pradhan and Hiten Tejwani and Mona Singh-Apoorva Agnihotri complete the show. A stunning performance by the Indian Idol 5 winner Shreeram and a rollicking act by TV's little darling Saloni are also part of the grand event.
