Shahid Kapoor To Reprise Manoj Kumar's Role In The Woh Kaun Thi Remake?

Shahid Kapoor is currently working on Kri Raj Entertainment’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu opposite Shraddha Kapoor. If reports are to be believed, the actor may soon step into Manoj Kumar’s shoes for the Woh Kaun Thi remake. The actor has recently signed a three-film deal with Prernaa Arora’s production house and if the buzz is to be believed, makers want to sign Kapoor for the WKT remake. Kri Raj recently acquired the remake rights of the classic. While talking about this, Prernaa said, “This is our tribute to Manoj Kumar. He knows we are planning a remake of his film.” (ALSO READ: Misha Kapoor Got Ad Offers And Here’s How Shahid Kapoor Reacted To It )

A source while talking to Mid-day was quoted saying, “Shahid has developed a great rapport with Prernaa Arora [one of the producers of KriArj Entertainment in the course of Batti Gul shoot. After this project, he is committed to doing two more films with the studio. So when they bought the remake rights of Woh Kaun Thi, he was one of the first choices to essay Manoj Kumar’s role.”

When Arora was asked if Shahid has signed the film, the producer neither confirmed nor rubbished the development. She said, “It’s too early to talk about the cast. We are just at the starting point.” Kri Raj along with the film have also acquired remake rights of the classic Lag Ja Gale and Naina Barse for the much talked about remake. The original film was helmed by Raj Khosla and starred Manoj Kumar and Sadhna.
