Pataakha movie review: Vishal Bhardwaj puts up a firecracker show with Sanya and Radhika as the main attractions

Planning on watching Pataakha this weekend? Read our review before you decide to book the tickets!

Trust Vishal Bhardwaj to put a simple story in the most eccentric way possible. Pataakha releases this weekend and the eminent filmmaker returns to the director's chair while Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan and Sunil Grover dance to his tunes. The movie is an adaptation of Charan Singh Pathik's short story titled Do Behnein to the big screen. While there were criticisms that Bhardwaj revealed the entire story in the trailer, did the maker really reveal it all in the trailer? Is it worth buying that ticket and watching the two sisters fight?

Sui Dhaaga: Made In India movie review: Varun Dhawan-Anushka Sharma's film is made with a lot of love and should be watched for its message

Made in India and made with love, Sui Dhaaga needs to be watched for its en

Stories and narratives set in small towns, with a rustic flavour, have become an instant favourite with not just filmmakers but also the audience. There is something special in going beyond the paraphernalia and sparkle of an urban setting and diving deep into the hearts of small towns and villages, where stories have more heart and less dazzle. Director Sharat Katariya, who made the immensely likeable Dum Laga Ke Haisha, returns to familiar ground with Sui Dhaaga. This time the struggle is not to break stereotypes but to believe that the smallest of dreams, even if they are ‘made in India’ can get an international platform.

Andhadhun movie review: Sriram Raghavan delivers the best rollercoaster ride of the year and you won't want to erase the headrush

Here's why Andhadhun is a must watch this weekend

If Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes had to put their cryptic minds to a cinematic canvas, there would be only name who could do justice to the genre - Sriram Raghavan. This piece isn’t an exercise to wax eloquently about his genius imagination and how twisted it can get. We have witnessed that in the past with the vengeful Badlapur or the technically ahead of its time Ek Hasina Thi. With Andhadhun he ventures into a familiar territory but with unfamiliar players.

Loveyatri movie review: Debutants Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain show promise but the sketchy script and direction don't!

Planning on watching Loveyatri? Read our review before booking your tickets.

You've heard the songs on the radio, you've grooved to Badshah's rap as well, it is now time to see if Loveyatri will take over the box office as the movie hits the cinemas today. Salman Khan launches Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain in the most colourful movies of the year directed by Abhiraj Minawala. But is it worth your time?
