The winner of The Voice UK 2018 has been crowned in tonight's final results.

It was the live final of The Voice UK this weekend as four contestants competed for victory. And just moments ago the final result was announced as Ruti Olajugbagbe was named The Voice UK winner of 2018.
The Voice UK's live final weekend kicked off earlier as the remaining members of Team JHud, Team Will, Team Olly and Team Tom again performed to stay in the competition and be one step closer to winning a recording contract with Polydor Records.

In The Voice UK final for Team Tom was 18-year-old student Ruti Olajugbagbe from Es*** while on Team Jennifer was Belle Voci, a duo made up of friends 26-year-old Sophie from Norwich and 25-year-old Emily from Mayfair.

Team Will's finalist was 16-year-old student Donel Mangena from Southampton and on Team Olly was 27-year-old student Lauren Bannon from Weymouth. All four performed twice in the first half of the show, performing both a duet with their mentor and a new solo song.
After the performances, lines briefly opened via phone and the app for viewers to support their favourite.

Host Emma Willis announced the top two finalists in no particular order as Donel and Ruti. Therefore Team Olly's Lauren and Team Jennifer's Belle Voci bowed out of the competition in fourth and third places. Ruti and Donel then returned to the stage to perform live once again. The pair reprised their potential winner's single - their favourite song of the series.

Lines then closed for good before Emma returned with the final result.
And with the most votes, host Emma announced Ruti Olajugbagbe as The Voice UK champion 2018. She'll release her winner's single 'Dreams' by The Cranberries following the show.

The Voice UK 2018 live final date and time, spoilers and odds

When is The Voice UK final? Format, spoilers, air date

Share on Twitter Share on Facebook

The Voice UK 2018 final date and start time has been confirmed for April on ITV.

This year's series will conclude on Saturday, April 7 from 8:30PM on ITV. It'll be the second weekend of just two live shows for 2018. Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and Olly Murs will open The Voice UK’s grand finale on ITV on Saturday with a show-stopping performance of The Beatles’ Come Together. The performance follows the rave reviews they received when they performed Nina Simone’s Feeling Good together on the launch show. Following last weekend's live semi-final, four contestants remain on The Voice 2018.

In The Voice UK final for Team Tom is 18-year-old student Ruti Olajugbagbe from Es***. On Team Jennifer is Belle Voci, a duo made up of friends 26-year-old Sophie from Norwich and 25-year-old Emily from Mayfair. Team Will's finalist is 16-year-old student Donel Mangena from Southampton. Lastly, on Team Olly is 27-year-old student Lauren Bannon from Weymouth.

In the final, the coaches take to the stage during the final for duets with their four finalists: Jennifer Hudson will perform with Belle Voci, Olly Murs with Lauren Bannon, will.i.am with Donel Mangena and Sir Tom Jones with Ruti Olajugbagbe.

Also during the final, the top two acts will perform their favourite song of the series – with the winner’s being released straight after the show as part of their prize of a life-changing record deal with Polydor. Ahead of the final, Donel is now as short as 8/13 to win The Voice according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.

The long-term favourite has seen his odds of winning the ITV competition cut into 8/13 after making it through to this weekend's final. Ruti follows behind at 7/4, or there's double figures on offer that Lauren (14/1) or Belle Voci (16/1) emerge as the 2018 champion. Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "Donel's hold on the top of the market continues to strengthen, and as far as the odds are concerned it's his to lose now."

The current series of The Voice UK airs its live episode this Saturday, April 7 from 8:30PM on ITV.

The X Factor judges line up set to see some big changes for 2018 | The X Factor 2018

The X Factor 2018 judges line up may be very different to last year. According to the latest rumours, Simon Cowell is planning a major revamp of the panel.

It could see Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne ALL leaving. Former judges Cheryl and Dannii Minogue, plus current Britain's Got Talent Alesha Dixon and One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, could replace them. Craig David, Kylie Minogue and Mariah Carey are also touted as potential new faces to the ITV show.

The dramatic move may be made despite Louis and Sharon already signing contracts for 2018. "Louis and Sharon are both contracted to return this year, but Simon and the producers have lost faith," an insider alleged to The Sun newspaper today.

The source didn't hold back, branding the pair "terrible on the panel last year." The insider added of Nicole's fate: “Nicole was a passionate judge but has no contract and won’t be back this year in order to bring in fresh blood.”

If Louis is axed it'd be his THIRD time leaving the show. He first left in 2007 only to be brought back later in the series. Louis was then again dropped for the show in 2015, once more returning in 2016.

“Louis and Simon remain great friends and it’s not a simple decision to let him go," an insider said. A show source told The Sun: “There are no plans for Nicole to return to The X Factor this year. Other announcements about the *judging line-up will be made in due course.

“It is possible either Sharon or Louis could still return because both have contracts.” As yet, no official announcements have been made by either ITV or The X Factor. Currently, early X Factor open auditions are underway across the country which close on July 1.
