Story, TV Show is about:
Apoorva needs job and he found it at Dhirubhai Jhaveri's Multinational company. He met Aarti (Dhirubhai Jhaveri's Niece) and falls in love with her. For her niece Dhirubhai wanted guy who has family. Apoorva didn't have. So Apoorva and his best friend Raju builds up a fake family. Dhirubhai hates lies. Now the show revolves around the efforts by Apoorva and the members of fake family, to hide the secret from Dhirubhai that the family is not real.

Premise
Apoorva is looking for a job. Apoorva lands a job in Dhirubhai group of companies. Apoorva meets Aarti (Daughter of Dhirubhai) and falls in love with her. Apoorva lies to Dhirubhai and Aarti about his family. Apoorva ensembles a 'fake' family to appease Dhirubhai.

Sumeet Raghavan has played the character of Apoorva Shah in Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo. He is a 32 year old practical guy who has a great sense of humor, and is employed in the company of Dhirubhai. He is an actual orphan , who has tricked his Father-in-Law Dhirubhai Jhaveri in believing he actually has a family by making a false family with his friend Raju. He loves Aarti who is the only niece (and the only blood relative) of Dhirubhai. Now he wants to turn his fake family into a real one.


Aarti Jhaveri/Shah



Mugdha Chaphekar plays the character of Aarti Jhaveri, a 29/30-year old niece of Dhirubhai and love-interest of Apoorva. She had gone into depression due to his brother who had died in a bus accident. She is a bubbly, chirpy, sweet and charming girl and is full of energy with optimism approach towards life. She is very religious and likes the Indian culture and traditions. She wants to fulfill his father’s desire to settle down in a joint family in India after the marriage.She loves her Uncle(Dhirubhai)and Aunt(Usha)


Dhirubhai Jhaveri
Tiku Talsania plays the character of Dhirubhai Jhaveri, a 55 year old rich, honest and god fearing man. He is a very rich business tycoon. He has businesses in 8 countries along with India. He loves Indian culture, traditions, values, the idea of joint family and can never bear lies and liars. He had lost his family in a bus accident. He also dislikes Raju to a much Extent.

Usha Dhirubhai Jhaveri
In the episode aired on 3 November 2010, Usha Dhirubhai Jhaveri, reappears. She first is seen upon as a ghost, but later after lodging a case against her, Dhirubhai and the family learns that she had not died, but was injured and had lost memory. She has now rejoined the family. She forgets things at a short interval. Also, she discovers the secret of Apoorva's fake family and threatens to reveal it. However after close observation, she decides to not reveal the secret and calls the family as "Sabse Pyara Parivaar", meaning The most lovable family.She is loved by the family as a mother.

Ishwarlal Shah
This character of Apoorva's father is played by Raju (Rajiv Thakur), a friend of Apoorva who helped to create this family. At the end they realised that there was no one to play the role of Apoorva's father, so he is playing the role of Apoorva's father.When he is asked to give pravachan,he sings Hindi songs of olden days. Also known as Samdhiji by uncle. He always helps Aporva when there is any trouble.


Pankaj Shah (Pankaj Sudhir Mishra)
He runs an "anath ashram" (orphanage) and is a staunch bachelor (brahmachari).He was selected to play Apoorva's elder brother after the chosen elder brother ran away. He speaks pure Hindi. Preeti falls in love with him and always tries to persuade him to marry her.Later he starts loving Preeti.But Preeti's mother does not accept their marriage.So Pankaj leaves the house and comes back as Peter. After taking the agreement of Preeti's mother, they married each other and become a real couple. The family members are often troubled by his language. His role is played by Manish Goyal.


Preeti Shah(Pinky D'souza)
Melissa Pais plays the character of Preeti Shah and Apporva's bhabhi. She is playing the role of Pankaj's wife. She was a backstage dancer earlier and knows dancing very well . She loves her fake husband and wants to marry him, but Pankaj is not ready. Later he starts loving her and marries her after her mother agrees, as she wanted Preeti to marry a Christian boy of the same religion, and not Pankaj, who is a Hindu.


Paresh Shah/Gondogol
Sukesh Anand plays the character of Paresh, Apoorva's second elder brother. He is a Bengali guy, who had been a thief before joining this family. He tried to steal valuables of the family members too out of his habits. But now as he has started loving his fake wife, Pallavi, he has now left theft habits and trying to improve himself. He loves the family and always tries to save Apoorva's fake family. His real name is Gondogol. When Pallavi's fiance Mohit arrives to take Pallavi, Apoorva tells him that if he really wants to see Pallavi happy, he let her go with Mohit. A heart broken Paresh agrees, but soon he finds out that Mohit is a crook and wants Pallavi's jewellery. He then decides to expose him but gets failed.He Then Leaves The Home But is Known that he is Safe and Together with Apoorva reveals Mohits Mystery.


Pallavi Shah
Shalini Khanna is playing Paresh's wife's role. She is a Rajasthani girl, who is already engaged with a person in Rajasthan. As her marriage is not scheduled yet, she has joined Apoorva's fake family. Paresh loves her but she doesn't like it as she's dedicated towards his fiance. She's so shy that she never addresses directly the person she's talking to and addresses the objects near them like "kangan sa, katori sa, sookhe hue phool sa"

Tulika Shah(Tulika Banjara)
Ami Trivedi plays the character of Apoorva's sister. She is smart , beautiful and helps Apoorva by solving many problems coming towards the family. She is the only one in the family who understands Apoorva and his problems and helps him to overcome them.

Mohit Kunwar Singh
Mehul Bhojak portrays role of Mohit. He was fiancé of Pallavi. But he reveals to be a imposter. He's a wanted criminal. So Apoorva & Paresh tricks to get him arrested. But currently he has returned and as an antagonist is trying to reveal Apoorva's secret.He tricks Dhirubhai Jhaveri and takes all his flats,cars,bungalows and other property.

Story

Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo on SAB TV revolves around the biggest humor that comes from situational lies and liars. Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo story theme is based on the life of Apoorva who is an employee of Dhirubhai Jhaveri. He had got his job telling a small lie. Dhirubhai is a rich and honest businessman who hates lies and liars.



Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo has introduced the traditional character of Dhirubhai who has a great believe in joint family. Apoorva is an orphan guy but tells a lie to get a job in the company of Dhirubhai. He had narrated about his full-fledged family who lives in Mumbai, India.

Dhirubhai has an imaginary concept about the Apoorva’s family. Dhirubhai has only niece Aarti who is young, beautiful and believes in the same values as her uncle. Apoorva is respected by them blindly for his hard work and a joint family in India. Apoorva also falls in love with Aarti.

In a ceremony, Dhirubhai decides to marry Aarti with Apoorva in Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo. Dhirubhai wanted to celebrate the marriage function in India in the presence of Apoorva’s family. Apoorva tries to convey his truth but fails. Finally, he asks his friend, Raju to set up his fake family in India. Somehow, Raju manages all the things.
Now, Apoorva arrives in India with Dhirubhai and Aarti. Now, Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo introduces a great series of comic from the family members who come from the various backgrounds.

The story of Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo revolves around the drama of joint family. Comedy comes naturally from the every casts of Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo who acts as a joint family member. All of them were previously paid to do the role but now are living as one joint family.Apoorva wants to convert his 'nakli family' to an 'asli family'.Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo is like a hilarious roller coaster and it makes many people happy.

Crook special

On 5 October 2010, film star Emraan Hashmi had appeared in this serial to promote his film Crook. He played a bit part of Dhirubhai's neighbour who wants freedom from the papparazzi. He acted 2 episodes on 5 October & 6 October.

Goa Trip

In a series of episodes particularly for a Valentine's Day special^[2][3], the family was shown on a trip to Goa. On the trip, Dhirubhai crashes with Preeti who is roaming around in modern clothes. What follows is a series of attempts by Apoorva to make him believe that doubles do exist in this world. Dhirubhai refuses to accept it, but in the end as Apoorva was about to unfold the secret of his family, Dhirubhai meets his own look-alike and believes Apoorva. Once again the family is saved from being destroyed.

Shalini Khanna steps into comedy with SAB's Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo...


Shalini Khanna who was last seen playing the sister of Shubh (played by Siddharth Shukla) in Ratna Sinha's Babul Ka Angann Chootey Naa will be seen in SAB TV's new show Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo.

This new show is about a boy who loves a girl lots and wants to get married to her but he is an orphan. So to pataofy the girl's dad he creates a family from members who belong to different communities and background. Thus the comedy takes place among them.

When asked Shalini Khanna about her role she said "I will be one of the family members. My character name is Pallavi, a young girl who belongs to a Rajasthani Royal family. They have lost all the money but still the aura and attitude is still there. She is the slowest character and the peculiarity of this character is that she will not say anything directly she will address to any object to pass on her message."

Shalini for the first time is experimenting in comedy. "This is my first comedy show and I always wanted to be a part of a comedy show. I have not taken any training or research for this role. The set is my institute where I learn everything. We have such great comedians, so I get to learn from them."

Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo launches on 14h December and will take the 9 PM slot..

Shweta Tiwari and her partner from Comedy Circus, Sudesh Lahiri will grace the wedding of Apoorva and Aarti in SAB's Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo...


All is fair in love and war, and this is exactly what the protagonist of SAB TV's Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo, Apoorva (Sumeet Raghavan) must be saying, as he is all set to marry his love, Aarti played by Mugdha Chapekar!!

According to our source, "The wedding is being shot in a lavish manner, with many celebrities gracing the occasion. Many actors from the SAB family will also be seen wishing the couple. But the main attraction of the wedding will be the gorgeous Shweta Tiwari and her partner from Comedy Circus, Sudesh Lahiri. They also performed on a small act which left the people present there in raptures".

When contacted, Sudesh Lahiri confirmed the news and said, "Yes, we both are gracing the wedding as celebrity guests. We have performed an act together. But I can't divulge many details".

We tried calling Shweta Tiwari, but she remained unavailable.
