 Tammy Beaumont - The highest run-getter of the tournament which had her named Player of the Tournament, that Tammy Beaumont, England's opener featured in the list was a no-brainer. She finished the tournament with 410 runs in 9 innings, averaging 45.55 in her first World Cup. What made her innings and her starts vital at the top was her strike-rate of 76.92 which got the side off to a steady start. She kicked off the tournament slowly managing to score only 40 runs in the first three games but her mammoth innings against South Africa when she scored 148 off 145, turned it around for her.

 Meg Lanning - The Australian skipper was battling through a shoulder injury that had her shuffle in and out of the side in order for her to be available for the clashes that matttered, having fought her way through the initial part of the tournament playing with it. Despite that, Lanning finished among the top 10 run-getters of the tournament with 328 runs in six games at an average of 82. Her star performance came against Sri Lanka, in a game where Chamari Atapattu belted the Australian bowlers to score the highest score of the tournament - 173. Lanning responded herself with an unbeaten 152 to guide her side to victory. Lanning, however, failed to score in a steep chase against India in the semifinal, copping her first duck of the tournament, as Australia succumbed to a 39-run loss to bow out of the World Cup.

 Sarah Taylor - The England Women's wicketkeeper made a spectacular comeback to international cricket in the World Cup, following her decision to take a break from the game indefinitely after the ICC World Twenty20 last year owing to anxiety. Not just was she among the runs, but the highlight of her campaign came behind the stumps against South Africa. Natalie Sciver bowled one down the leg side, and Trisha Chetty, in an attempt to steer it away to the fine-leg boundary flashed at it and missed. Before anyone had even realised what had happened, Taylor whipped off the stumps in a flash to send back Chetty. She ended the tournament with 396 runs, four catches and two stumpings.

 Mithali Raj - The 34-year-old led by example, amassing 409 runs in nine innings at an average of 45.44, finishing as the next-best run-getter behind Beaumont. She also played a vital role in India reaching only its second World Cup final, their first in 12 years, which they eventually lost to England by nine runs at Lord’s. Her best innings came against New Zealand in Derby when she scored a century (109) to lead India to a 186-run victory.

 Ellyse Perry - The Australian star all-rounder shone once again - with bat and ball, finishing with 404 runs and nine wickets against her name. She had racked up scores of 71, 66, 70, 60 not out and 55 in the tournament to take Australia to the knockouts, where they eventually lost to India. She finished as the third-highest run-getter averaging 80.80 with five half-centuries.

 Harmanpreet Kaur - It was a quiet World Cup for the Indian all-rounder, until the New Zealand game where she scored her first half-century. And then she exploded. Her unbeaten 171-run assault against Australia not just knocked the wind out of the defending World Cup champions but also put India in a position of dominance from where there was no turning back. She backed that up with a strong 51 in the final, but in vain. Her hat-trick of scores helped her finish with 389 runs in eight innings averaging 59.83.

 Natalie Sciver - With two centuries in the England's run to the final, Natalie Sciver has lived up to her billing of being one of the game's most explosive hitters. Even in the final, it was Sciver's stand with Katherine Brunt that gave England a total to fight with. Sciver's 51 off 68 turned out to be England's highest score in the innings as she ended the tournament with 369 runs at 46.12 - the sixth-highest run-getter of the tournament, and seven wickets.

 Dane van Niekerk - The South African skipper's figures of 4 for 0 stunned Windies in their group stage encounter. It was the first time that a bowler - across men's and women's cricket - picked up a four-wicket haul or more without conceding a run. They were also the best figures by a captain at the Women's World Cup. She led from the front for South Africa, and even finished at the top of the top wicket-takers in the tournament with 15 in seven games at a stunning average of 10. What made her such a threat to opposition teams was not just her wicket-taking knack but her ability to curtail the runs - validated in the fact that her economy was 3.46.

 Marizanne Kapp - Kapp finished one behind her skipper, with 13 wickets in 7 games, averaging just over 19. Her best performance of the tournament came against the Windies where she picked up 4 for 14 to help skittle out the opposition for a lowly 48, before following it up with a three-wicket haul against England in their next game.

 Anya Shrubsole - The England pacer had an average tournament, but delivered the goods when it mattered the most - in the World Cup final. Having picked up just six wickets prior to that in eight games, she stunned India with a six-wicket haul in the final to turn the game in England's favour and led them to a 9-run win. She ended the tournament with 12 wickets, fourth-best on the table after her figures of 6 for 46 in the final.

 Kristen Beams - The leg-breaks of Beams were a vital part of Australia's success in making it to the semifinals. She delivered in all the seven games that she played in in the tournament with a wicket against her name in each of them, which saw her finish third on the list of highest wicket-takers with 12 at an average of 22.16. That her economy rate was just over 4 made her Lanning's go-to bowler when she needed a turnaround in proceedings.

 Leigh Kasperek - Although New Zealand made an exit before qualifying for the knockouts, Leigh Kasperek, was a standout in their campaign. Having played just four games in the tournament, Kasperek's offbreaks gave her the upper hand against batters of various quality. She finished her campaign with 10 wickets in the 40 overs she bowled, conceding just 3.65 runs per over and with an impressive average of 14.60.
