Default NDTV Announces The Winners Of Tech Life Awards 2010



The winners of The Quick Heal NDTV Techlife Awards 2010, the first-ever Lifestyle and Gadget Awards in India, were announced on 23rd May at a ceremony in New Delhi. The spirit of the awards was to celebrate the coolest gadgets and innovations that have changed the way India lives. This year various gadgets were awarded in different categories. While Broadband on the Move (Tata and Reliance) caught the fancy of the jury to win the prestigious NDTV Gadget of the Year, actor Kareena Kapoor was presented with the Celebrity Endorsement Award for Sony Vaio. Bureau of Energy Efficiency won The Green Award of the Year. Samsung LED 3D TV recognized as the NDTV Gadget of the Year Award by popular choice. Motorola Milestone won the SmartPhone of the Year Award.


In an aureate evening attended by gadget enthusiasts, corporates, film and social fraternity, the venue came alive with an electrifying dance performance by actor Neha Dhupia. The award ceremony hosted by NDTV’s Vikram Chandra and Rajiv Makhni along with Bollywood star Perizaad Zorabian, had names like- Miss India 2010 winners Manasvi Mamgai, Neha Hinge and Nicole Faria; Raghu Rai; Ayaan and Amaan Ali Bangaash; Rina Dhaka; Ramola Bachchan; Ritu Kumar; Laxmi Rana; FDCI Chairman Sunil Sethi; Bishan Singh Bedi and Amir Raza Hussain- exhibit their passion for gadgets with their presence.
This year, there were more than 550 entries received across various categories that were open for nominations. These entries underwent stringent selection processes to feature in the final nominations for each category which were further adjudged by the eminent jury. Ernst & Young audited and validated all the stages of the short-listing and selection process.



The distinguished jury for Techlife Awards comprised of Atul Chitnis, Technologist and Founder of the Tech conference Foss.In; Kishore Bhargava, a technology consultant; Prasanto Kumar Roy, Chief Editor at CyberMedia’s IT and Telecom publications and CIOL.com; Nishant Padhiar,Editor of What Hi-Fi? And Stuff; India’s Tech Guru-Rajiv Makhni, Anchor, Gadget Guru on NDTV; Vikram Chandra, co-anchor Gadget Guru and CEO NDTV Convergence and NDTV Networks; Ashish Bhatia, Technology Columnist and Actress Gul Panag.



The property ‘Techlife Awards’ has received valuable support from 360 Degrees, Living Digital and Cyber Media. Also extending support is Croma, Swarovski, Radio Mirchi, Quick Heal Antivirus and Maruti Suzuki.
