Default 'Being healthy and looking good go hand in hand' - Chaitanya Chaudhary

Chaitanya Chaudhary who looks fitter and trimmer in Sony's Aahat talks about his regime...

Do you follow any fitness regime?
Yes I do. I go to the Gym and make it a point that even when working, I hit the gym at least thrice a week.

According to you, how important is it to follow a fitness regime?
Its very important to stay healthy, specially in our field where look is of so much importance. And to look good, we need to follow a fitness regime. I am such a fitness fanatic that even if I had not taken up acting, I would have followed the same regime.

Any other ways to stay fit?
Apart from the gym, I go for cycling or jogging at the park.

What's your usual diet?
My day starts with porridge. After two hours, I have my juice. My lunch consists of brown rice, sabzi, chicken, fish. Two hours later, I have fruits with coffee and biscuits. My dinner consists of fruits or vegetables.

Do you count calories when it comes to eating?
Never, I think people become psychic when they look upon calories while eating.

Anyone you idolize when it comes to good physique?
Hrithik Roshan has a good body, and he has done well to maintain that.

Do you equate fitness with the shape of the body?
I think Yes! Being healthy and looking good go hand in hand. If you have a good shape to your body combined with a healthy diet, it is good.

How were you in your college days when compared to the present look?
I was plump when I was growing. But then in my second year I played squash and lost lot of weight. When I was doing Sangam, I suffered form Dengue where I put on lot of weight again. But this break has helped me a lot, and I got lot of time to work out vigorously and get back to shape.

Do you have a dietitian or an instructor to maintain your fitness?
No, I know what I want to eat; so I don't have an instructor to tell me that.

Suggest some fun ways of working out.
Lot of people think that Gym is the best way to lose weight. But we maintain that by playing Squash, one gets trimmer. You can also play badminton to keep you fit.
