Default Bollywood's trouble with the IT department

Shah Rukh Khan
It is well known that the luxury villa that Shah Rukh Khan owns at Palm Jumeirah, Dubai was gifted to him. Earlier this month, the Income Tax department decided that the actor would have to pay tax for this property that is said to be worth Rs 17.84 crore. Now SRK, we hope you can repair your relationship with the IT department with some love.

Katrina Kaif
Here are a few Bollywood actors who have been recently at loggerheads with the Income Tax department...The morning of 24th January definitely presented a rude shock for Katrina Kaif when the Income Tax Department came knocking on her doors for suspected tax evasion. Katrina, looks like your cute Barbie Doll image will now take a beating.

Priyanka Chopra
Piggy Chops might have done several bold scenes on screen, but it was definitely not a bold decision to be courting trouble with the IT department. Priyanka's house and office were raided as well by the IT officials today morning.

Arbaaz Khan
After the roaring success of 'Dabangg', 10 officers from the IT department raided Arbaaz's offices to check the use of the box office earnings from 'Dabangg'. But Arbaaz argued that it was merely a survey by the IT dept. and not a raid. Looks like the Khan brothers are under the authorities' scanner. But is that why Arbaaz is hiding behind dark glasses? Let's wait and watch.

Amitabh Bachchan
In March 2009, the IT department challenged a seven-month-old order of the Bombay High Court, which had given relief to Mr Bachchan in a case related to his popular TV show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. The dispute over taxation was on a total earning of Rs 13 crore which Bachchan earned from ‘KBC’.
