B. P. Singh of Fireworks Productions is all set to direct his first episode for his newly launched comedy detective show on SAB TV, Jaankhilavan Jasoos. The very experienced Director who is an institution when it comes to shooting the best of angles and getting the best of expressions out of an actor will be directing Vibha Anand and Amit Dolawat in one of the episodes of the SAB show.



Our source from the set says, "B.P. Sir has shot some breathtaking episodes for Fireworks' other popular shows, CID and Aahat. The element of intrigue that comes out in the episodes directed by him has been fabulous. He has also directed some episodes for his silent comedy show Gutur Gu, on SAB TV. But this is the first time he is directing a comic detective show. So we are all excited to have him on the sets".

The story has a marriage set-up in which there are four principal characters. There are two sisters and two brothers in the story. The younger brother is played by Amit Dolawat while Vibha Anand of Balika Vadhu fame plays one of the girls. The story begins with the wedding preparations of Amit and Vibha. However, the bride is abducted and that is when the situational comedy starts. And the Jasoos played by Nitesh Pandey comes into the picture to solve the case in his unique style.

TellyBuzz contacted B.P. Singh to ask about this unique experience, and he said, "Yes, I am presently directing an episode for our new show Jankilavan Jasoos. Frankly speaking, I was hesitant to start with because this is something very different. When you are directing a detective story which has a comic touch, you need to tone down the suspense and intrigue factor and this is very tough. After directing few scenes, I am feeling quite confident now. The story has Vibha Anand and Amit Dolawat. We are trying to do something on the lines of the popular movie, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron. I think it is coming out well".

The particular episode will be airing this Friday on SAB TV.

When contacted, Amit Dolawat shared the experience of having B.P. Singh on the sets as Director, "He is like an institution and you have to work with him to really understand how impeccable B.P. Singh Sir is as a Director. I have worked with him in Aahat and doing a comedy show with him is an altogether different experience. I am enjoying the shoot".

We tried calling Vibha Anand but she remained unavailable for comments.

Jankilavan Jasoos has gained a very good response in the first two weeks, and we hope this episode directed by the Maestro himself takes them higher!!

Jaankhilavan Jasoos

JJ is a 32 years old private detective. Though he is a bumbling detective he considers himself to be a very serious professional. He is poker faced & well dressed & very unassuming. His small and cosy office is situated somewhere in south Mumbai.



JJ has never ever solved any case on his own. Fortunately for him lady luck has always been on his side. He always solves his case either by luck or fluke. He knows all theories of criminal investigation but never manages to put it to practical usage. He is a student of history though most of the time he goofs up the names and the dates. He did his LLB (took 10 years to complete it).

JJ is single. He is not serious about settling down as he feels that his life is dedicated to fighting crime. While at work he maintains a very reserve personality. He rarely smiles or laughs but, on occasions would break into a big laughter. JJ has an obsessive behavioural disorder. He is finicky about cleanliness & keeping things in order.

He is a little clumsy but, very particular about keeping everything neat and clean and above all at the right place. He has this bad habit of ****ing in the middle of a conversation & jumping into conclusions without hearing it completely. He even doles out quirky one-liners, his favourite being “CRIME SCENE HAIN JAHAAN….JJ HAIN WAHAN!!”

Ching Fung Lee is a 27 year old guy who has attained black belt in karate.He is soft spoken & reserved. He is quite dumb so to say and takes everything literally & at a face value.

CFL works as an office boy doing all kinds of odd job including making tea for JJ. CFL has been mainly hired for his martial art s****s and he accompanies JJ in case the situation demands action or any physical activity like climbing a wall, making a tunnel!

Monalisa is twenty-two year old, beautiful, smart and exuberant girl. She is JJ’s assistant. Monalisa loves to read mystery novels & watch thriller films. She is aware of her boss’ clumsiness but, never points it out or ridicules him. She is of the opinion that Boss is always right.




She is a cheerful and ever smiling person unlike her boss.

Monalisa does all the research work and coordinates everything at JJ’s office. Often she accompanies him on the site of crime. Although she is a sincere girl, she tends to make quite a few silly mistakes. With a vivid imagination and a keen eye for detail, Monalisa is of great help to JJ for solving cases.
