Sonu Nigam Birthday Special:10 Best Chart Busters Of The Singer That We Never Get Tired Of Listening!

Sonu Nigam is one of the greatest singers of our times and his melodious voice breathes life into every song he sings. Born on July 30, 1973, Nigam started singing at a very young age–initially recording bhajans for T series, gradually moving over to doing covers of old songs, followed by independent albums and eventually lending his voice for playback singing. In his career spanning over two decades, Nigam has sung many award winning songs for which received immense love, praise and recognition.
It’s not just in Hindi that the versatile singer has churned out beautiful songs, but has given numerous singles and songs in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and even Bengali. Today, as the singer turns 44, we bring to you a playlist of some of his best melodies.

  1. Deewana Tera, (Deewana, 1999)
2. Bijuriya, (Mausam, 1999)
3. Tu (Kismat, 1998)
4. Ab Mujhe Raat Din (Deewana, 1999)
5. Kal Ho Na Ho Title Track, (2003)

10. Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin, Agneepath, (2012)

Recently, the singer courted controversy for his tweets which spoke unfavourably about religion-related material being broadcast over microphones and “forced religiousness”. Even his latest song, Hans Mat Pagli, from the upcoming Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar starrer film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, came under the radar for having been allegedly copied from a regional movie, ‘Laadli’. Nonetheless, the song is melodious and definitely accounts for a must listen.

Well, we will be looking forward to see this talented singer surprise us with some amazing songs in the coming future. Until then, India.com wishes Sonu Nigam a very Happy Birthday and look forward to more songs that we will cherish forever!
