Karan Patel celebrates his 34th birthday today, and we couldn't resist not flatter the man on this one day, because he has rightly deserved so. Having given some impeccable performances with his stints in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kasautii Zindagi Kay and others, he rose to fame with his lead role in Kasturi as Robbie and soon became a household name with portrayal of Raman Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

Today, on the occasion of his birthday, we thought we'd list down before you reasons we think the actor is a total inspiration and of course, the Badshah of the small screen.

When it comes to acting, Karan is what we call a self made man. He paved his path in the right direction and with stints in a few successful shows, his comeback in 2013 with Star Plus' much loved show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein did make him a star overnight all over again. Not only has he been a phenomenal actor, but has also been a part of reality shows, both as participants and a host. If looked carefully, his graph as an actor has been a rollecoaster that's only gone up.
