Default Comedy Circus 20 ľ 20

Comedy Circus 20-20 is a reality-based comedy show that brings India's TV celebrities to perform with professional comedian partners on a highly competitive and challenging stage.

After the third season billed as Kaante Ki Takkar followed by a non- competitive comedy show Comedy Circus - Chinchpokli to China the show returned again as a competition again but unlike the earlier 3 seasons there were no eliminations and the total score during the whole series was taken into account to find the winner. This was in accordance to the title of the show 20-20, where the participants played their innings(performance) and earned runs (scores by judges).

Shruti seth returned as the host replacing Purbi Joshi who had hosted the show for season 3 chinchpokli to China.

Besides the participants, the show also had celebrities and comedians from previous seasons making cameo appearances, often under disguises. The show would end with a sequence named "extra innings" where VIP & Prince played a comedy skit.

The Grand Finale of Sony's Dekh India Dekh was shot recently. Also, a little birdie gives us the news that Kanchi Kaul will be taking over from Shruti as host of Comedy Circus 3, which is to launch in October.

After the successful run of Comedy Circus, Kaante Ki Takkar, Chinchpokli to China & Comedy Circus 20-20, Sony Entertainment Television and Optymistix' Dekh India Dekh gave viewers great laughter time with gags, jokes and hilarious acts that related to characters one sees in daily life.

The shoot for the finale episode of Dekh India Dekh happened recently, in which the pair of Krushna Abhishek and Sudesh were declared winners.

According to a little birdie from the sets, "The new format of Dekh India Dekh will be coming to an end sometime in October. In the Finale, Krushna who played Baiju Singh and Sudesh aka Bawra Singh were declared winners".

Also, the news coming in from the sets is that the channel will soon be coming up with the third season of Comedy Circus. "As of now, the lineup of contestants for Comedy Circus 3 is being short listed. The show will launch on 23rd October 2009", adds our source.

The birdie also informed us that "Comedy Circus 3 will have a different host though. Soon after the Finale of Dekh India Dekh was shot, Kanchi Kaul made a brief appearance on stage and announced that she will be with them from 23rd October as host for the third season of Comedy Circus".

We called up Shruti Seth, who has been the host of Comedy Circus till now, but she averred, "I have not been approached to host the show".

We tried calling Kanchi Kaul for a confirmation, but she was busy and asked us to call later.

Kanchi Kaul was earlier seen in Sony's Ek Ladki Anjaani Si. She was last seen in Zee's Maayka which shut shop recently.

We tried calling Vipul Shah of Optymistix for a confirmation, but he remained unavailable.
