Nokia 9.2/ 9.3 with Snapdragon 865 tipped to launch in H2 2020
The Nokia 8.3 5G recently became the brand’s first 5G smartphone. The company also launched the Nokia 5.3 and the budget 1.3 along with it. Powered by the Snapdragon 765, the Nokia 8.3 was still an affordable 5G-enabled device. A recent report later on also revealed that the brand could produce more Snapdragon 765-based smartphones. This was believed to be because the Snapdragon 865 processors significantly increase the price of a device. However, a new report has now hinted that a Snapdragon 865-powered Nokia 9.2/9.3 will launch later this year.
The Nokia 9.2 or Nokia 9.3 is still being worked on and though launch is imminent, it has been pushed to the second half of the year. This is due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic that has taken a huge hit on manufacturing and logistics across the globe. There is even a separate page where the source mentions leaked specifications of the Nokia 9.2 PureView smartphone. Nokia 9.2 / Nokia 9.3 leaked specifications The Nokia smartphone is expected to feature a 6.29-inch QHD+ P-OLED display with a 2K resolution. The display of the device will reportedly be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The Nokia 9.2/9.3 is also expected to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. The body encasing all this will be an aluminum and glass construction. Powered by the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC, the Nokia 9.2/9.3 will also feature 6GB/8GB RAM along with either 128GB or 256GB storage. Expandable storage is still not confirmed. On the front, the phone is tipped off to feature a 32-megapixel camera. The Nokia 9.2/9.3 will also come with a 4,500mAh battery that will support Qi wireless charging.
