Vissarion, who has proclaimed himself a new Christ, conducts a service during the "Holiday of Good Fruit" feast in the village of Obitel Rassveta (Cloister of Sunrise), some 640 km (398 miles) southeast of Russia's Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk, August 18, 2010. Former police officer Vissarion gave up his original name of Sergei Torop and created a sect in 1991, whose members give up their property to join the construction of a so-called Sun City on the slopes of the mountain where their leader is. Russia's dominant Orthodox Church says sects like that of Vissarion, which have mushroomed after the collapse of the Soviet Union, ruin the moral health of the nation by indoctrinating their disciples and call for their ban.

Vasilev, a teacher of Krasnoyarsk Aerospace College, constructed self-made water skies to walk on the water surface. The skis are made of foam plastic and the sticks have umbrella-type tips to push off from water.

Visitors now come to experiment so-called "Black Tourism", which includes everything from tours of Tepito, the most dangerous neighbourhood of Mexico City, to the experience of becoming for a few hours an illegal immigrant sought by U.S. police.
