The actress who played the subdued Dhara in Ambar-Dhara, Sulagna Panigrahi lost out a plum project
Agle janam mohe bitiya hi kijo to Ratan Rajput allegedly because of her fair complexion. Though producer Siddharth Tewary of Swastik Pictures (who has produced both the shows) denied that she was even considered for the role of Laali, the actress however confirmed that she was almost finalised to play Laali but the channel found her inappropriate and thus was replaced. The incident left Sulagna very disappointed but it seems that luck has now favoured her. Sulagna is tipped to make her comeback with Ratna Sinha’s tentatively titled
Chauda Phere for Zee TV.
A source from the show informs, “The show is about two female leads- one rich and the other poor. Sulagna will make a comeback with this show and will play the lead with Ankita Srivastava. The production house is still hunting for the male lead. Once they finalise the male lead they will start shooting.”
When contacted Sulagna Panigrahi said, “We are just in talks right now and nothing is confirmed as yet.”
Producer Ratna Sinha said, “Nothing is confirmed as yet. Let everything fall in place and then I will let you know.”
