Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraaj Chouhan

Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan was a historical television programme aired on STAR Plus, launched by Sagar Arts, who had earlier started the television series Ramayan, Mahabharat and Hatim. This Hindi TV serial showed the story of one of the most famous Hindu kings of medieval Indian history, Prithviraj Chauhan, his early life, his exploits, his love for princess Sanyogita. This show gave birth to new acting talent Rajat Tokas. This captivating saga ended on March 15, 2009 with a sad ending.

Nach Baliye

Nach Baliye was a dance, reality-television series on STAR Plus channel. The contestants were couples, who were television stars. The first and second season aired on STAR One and then shifted to STAR Plus. It's name was inspired by a song from the Bollywood film Bunty Aur Babli (2005). Celebrity couples competed against one another. Major names in the television industry were given a platform to showcase another side of their persona. The first season winners were Sachin and Supriya Pilgoankar, while season 4 winners were Shaleen and Daljit Bhanot.

Des Main Nikala Hoga Chand


Again a STAR Plus show, which lasted for a successful run of four years (2001-2005). The story was about the family of Pritam Singh, an NRI who settled in the United Kingdom. The show is largely centred around Pritam's granddaughter Parminder, (Sangeeta Ghosh) who holds traditional Indian values. The story takes off when Parminder meets Dev (Varun Badola), at her cousin's wedding in Chandigarh. They fall in love, but Pammi is already engaged to Dr. Rohan in London. This is primarily a story of love but also of the role of Indian conventions in a foreign country. They eventually get married.
