Pankh
The film received an 'A' certificate from the Censor Board for the abusive language spoken in the film. It was reported that while Bipasha Basu, the heroine in the film had no qualms mouthing obscene language, her co-stars got really uncomfortable while giving their shots beside her.

Bandit Queen
Based on the true story of dreaded dacoit Phoolan Devi, Shekhar Kapur's 'Bandit Queen' actually received a court notice complaining about the use of vulgar language in the film. The film throws light on the hapless condition of lower cast people in rural India who are at the mercy of landlords belonging to the higher social strata.
