Innocent Ichcha turns tapori

Cute and innocent Ichcha of Uttaran enters the world of the Sanjeevani doctors as a patient named Sweety in Star One’s Dil Mil Gaye.

Sparsh’s mother, Sarita spoke to us about it: “Sparsh is seen playing a very naughty and dominating kid, Sweety, who has recently been admitted to Sanjeevani. The character always has a pink teddy bear in one hand and a stick in the other.”

Sarita says the new character is completely different from the one she played in Uttaran. “Sweety and Ichcha are in complete contrast. You will see Sparsh doing bhaigiri, because this kid has no manners. Sweety is admitted to the children’s ward and creates trouble all over Sanjeevani,” she says. “Kids have been introduced on the show for the first time to add a different flavour. There is a gang of 8-10 kids who are troubling the doctors.” The mother adds, “This will be a cameo, but if the track goes well, it might be extended.”

Sparsh has been shooting for only two days but it seems she has already become Dr. Armaan’s (Karan Singh Grover) favourite. “Karan is a very nice person. He greets her every time he comes to the sets in the morning, and hugs her before going back home. He really makes her feel comfortable on the sets, and she interacts with him the most. In fact, Karan is very sweet to all the kids on the sets, all of them do a lot of masti together.”

Sparsh’s entry as Sweety aired last night. Watch Dil Mil Gaye from Monday to Thursday at 8.30pm on Star One.

Sneha Wagh, new bahu on the block

Small screen’s super bahus Parvati and Tulsi have left behind a new lot of heirs to their crowns: Sara Khan, Parul Chauhan, Smita Bansal, Avika Gor, Neha Marda, Prabhleen Sandhu, Natasha Sharma and Priyanka Mishra.

The latest entrant is Sneha Wagh, who plays Jyoti in Sphere Origins’s Jyoti on NDTV Imagine.

Sneha says about her character Jyoti, who is a mature and responsible bahu, “The character has a lot of shades. She has been a responsible daughter and sister, and now is a sensible wife and bahu too. The fact that she plays the wife of a blind person adds a lot of challenge to the character.”

With every show having its own distinctive bahu, who is Sneha’s favourite? “Tulsi has been the best bahu on screen. I always admired her in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She was a strong character and always fought for the truth.”

Let’s see how Jyoti fares.

Drunk for a scene
Abhishek Rawat, aka Shekhar of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, has been taking his role in the show a tad too seriously. The actor recently had to shoot a scene in which he had to appear drunk. So to make it authentic, Abhishek actually consumed alcohol and reported on the sets. Talk about perks of the job.
