Bidaai and Yeh Rishta come together..
A special cross over episode will be aired tonight between Star Plus' leading shows Bidaai and Yeh Rishta, wherein the leads of both shows come face to face...
Directors Kut's Sapna Babul Ka.. Bidaai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will have its first crossover episode tonight between 9 and 10 PM.
Rajan Shahi's production house has been innovative with the working of its shows, and has given the viewers one hour extended episodes of the shows earlier. But tonight will see the production house's first ever cross over episode with regards to their two top shows airing on Star Plus.
According to our source, "The episode to be aired tonight, on 28th December between 9 and 10 PM will see the interaction between protagonists of both the shows, for the very first time. While a devastated Sadhana ( Sara Khan) who has been thrown out by all in her family for the misery that Ragini (Parul Chauhan) is going thro', reaches a temple to seek a way in which she can bring back happiness in her family, Akshara the protagonist of Yeh Rishta will reach the same temple as she is burdened by family pressures. Also, the leading men of the shows Alekh (Angad Hasija) and Naitik (Karan Mehra) will also meet on the road. Alekh is looking for Sadhana when he bumps into Naitik. He asks him whether he has seen such a lady somewhere on the road. On the other hand, Akshara and Sadhana will also inquire about each others family problems".
"A special song has been composed for the occasion, and it will be played in the temple as the two ladies interact", adds our source. The protagonists of Bidaai, Alekh and Sadhana reside in Agra while Naitik and Akshara have come down to Agra for some purpose.
When contacted,
Alekh aka Angad tells us, "Yes, Alekh and Naitik meet up in the road while Sadhana and Akshara meet in a temple. Both the ladies are going thro' tremendous pressure, coming from their families".
Karan Mehra aka Naitik says, "Alekh and Naitik talk about certain problems, but I cannot divulge what really happens. It is for you to watch".

About Sapna Babul Ka... Bidaai:
- Sapna Babul Ka... Bidaai is an Indian soap drama that aired from 8 October 2007 to 13 November 2010 on STAR Plus during weekdays. It tells the story of a father and his two daughters and explores the social impacts of skin colour. The series was replaced by Gulaal
 - The end of the series was first planned six months before it went off air when the ratings were declining. Otherwise, shifting it to an afternoon slot was not considered as they thought it might degrade its popularity. The channel prompted the producer to introduce twists like the death of the character Sadhna and a time leap after which the declined its ratings. However, the series went off air on 13 November 2010. Speaking about the reason for ending, executive director of Star channel Vivek Bahl stated: "The show has run its course, and both, the channel and the producer, didn't feel the need to stretch the story. We didn't want to end the show once the number started falling. Bidaai has been a top show, and deserves to go like a top show, Producer Rajan Shahi stated that they wanted the series to end on a high note. After its end, there were also many reports for the second season being in progress. However Shahi denied it.

On 24 August 2012, the show had a crossover episode with Diya Aur Baati Hum. On 3 March 2016, actress Deepika Singh as Sandhya from Diya Aur Baati Hum made an entry during Naira's kidnap sequence.
