Star Plus and UTV have finally got their female lead for their yet another show, which is based on the popular Tamil serial Kolangal. Rookie actor Shweta Munshi who played the lead in DD1's show Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai has been finalized for the role of Avni.
For the initiated, Dipika Samson who is presently seen in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo was earlier chosen as the lead and had even started shoot. However the girl was forced to opt out as her role in Aagle Janam demanded more number of days. Ever since, the search for the lead girl had been on. We hear that the shoot which had earlier stopped has been resumed now. The show which was scheduled to launch in the last week of October will be delayed now. The show has Rohit Khurana playing the lead role.
We tried contacting Mayuree Chadha, Fiction head UTV but she remained unavailable for comment.
