Yeh Hai Jalwa is a dance reality show which aired on the 9X entertainment channel every Sunday at 8:00 PM. It premiered on television screens on 16th March 2008. It got aired on a weekly basis, and each episode of this battle got screened for two hours.
The show features some of the biggest stars from the Indian television industry as they groove with their team members. The competition promises to be one of the fiercest dance extravaganzas ever seen on the screen. The show brings to us nine of the most enthralling celebrity dancers in the country and their team of forty-five people who come over from various backgrounds and conditions.
They all have their sights set on just one thing: to become the country’s Ultimate Dance Team amidst the reckless competition in a blaze of energy, entertainment and adrenaline fuelled dance. The show featured two ladies every Indian household is familiar with as hosts. They are the television screen’s favorite celebrities Sak****anwar and Smriti Irani. They later got joined by the multi-talented superstar of Bhojpuri films, Ravi Kishan as the third host of the show. They add a layer of glamor and charisma to the contest.

The celebrity contestants on the show boast of household names like that of the ever smiling Prachi Desai, the impressive duo of the brothers Rohit and Ronit Roy, the dance supremo Hussain Kuwajerwala, the ever controversial Rakhi Sawant, and more.

Few days back we asked a question… Rakhi in Yeh Hai Jalwa Finals, Can she win now? Guess what? our very own drama queen has finally won a reality show ‘Yeh Hai Jalwa’. She defeated finalist Hussain and Ronit Roy. This win has restored Rakhi’s faith in GOD and bad memories from ‘Nach Baliye 3′ debacle. Rakhi was on the high celebrating her victory. As far other contestants, Ronit Roy did his bit in trying to dance...
After Sony and Star Plus, it’s Channel 9x turn to take advantage of the great controversy queen Rakhi Sawant. The channel is presented her in dance show Yeh Hai Jalwa. Rakhi Sawant is always in news whether it is the kissing incidence with Mika or her fight with her boy friend Abhishekh. So her presence in the reality show increases the popularity of it. Sony channel first presented her in "Bigg Boss". Her entry in this show added masala to it. That’s why she was again re-entered in the show through wild card entry.
Then she came in the 3rd season of "Nach Baliye" with her boy friend-Abhishekh Awasthi. The show was telecasted on Star Plus. Here also Rakhi Sawant was the centre of attraction. After losing the finals of Nach Baliye, Rakhi accused the channel officials of being partial and announced that she will not participate in any reality show in future. But our drama queen is back with Yeh Hai Jalwa. Surely she had her reasons for not keeping her words and won the show. In Yeh Hai Jalwa, along with Rakhi there will be nine more celebrities who participated in the show..

Rakhi’s real competition came from Hussain who did all he could to put up best show for the audience. Rakhi Sawant (born Neeru Bheda on 25 November 1978 is an Indian dancer, model, actress and television talk show host, who has appeared in many Hindi and a few Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Telugu and Tamil films and was a contestant on the first season of the controversial Indian reality television series Bigg Boss 1 (2006) and as a challenger and finalist in Bigg Boss 14 (2020).
Sawant launched her own political party, headed by Jai Shah, called the Rashtriya Aam Party, to contest the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections. However, after the election, she joined Republican Party of India (A).
