The jodis will hunt for their living spaces, do real time jobs and gather money. Along with this, they also need to fulfil social obligations like entertaining relatives, in-laws, guests, going to parties, conducting picnics and above all see that 'their' child has finished the homework.

There are 21 episodes in all, with no eliminations. Which means there will be no winners or losers.

The children taking part in the show are real-life infants, toddlers, pre-teens and teenagers. Their parents will be behind the scenes and will monitor their kids.

Five stages

Pregnancy will have the women wearing empathy bellies and attending pre-natal classes.

Infant Stage a newborn baby will be handed over to the couple and they will have to feed the babies, change dippers etc.

Toddlers Stage - the child starts to throw tantrums that 'parents' will have to handle.

Sharad Kelkar impressed his fans during his hosting stint on Zee TV’s Rock and Roll Family which was judged by Bollywood actors Kajol, Ajay Devgan and Tanuja. And now the actor is back once again as a host. According to sources, Sharad will host NDTV Imagine’s Pati Patni aur Woh. The show is an adaptation of the international show The Baby Borrowers where celebrity couples have to take care of children of different age-groups. The celebrity couples have to take care of infants, toddlers and teenagers.

Informs a source, “Initially one wasn’t sure if the show really required a host but later we finalised on Sharad Kelkar. He will be hosting the show alone. The crew is leaving for Goa tomorrow and the show will run for a span of one month.”

“The show involves tasks where the surrogate parents (celebrity couples) will go out to earn a living for their babies. There will be no evictions in the show and it is the parents of the babies who will vote for their favourite celeb couple. There is a specific ‘Do not carry list’ which has been distributed to the contestants wherein they have been strictly informed not to carry any baby toys or baby paraphernalia to woo the babies. This will be given by the channel to the contestants. Interestingly, the contestants will have to undergo a swine flu test so that the babies do not contract the disease”, adds our source.

Mouni Roy is insecure

Mouni Roy, known for her role in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Thi, is insecure about her relationship with Gaurav Chopra because the actor is still in touch with his ex-girlfriend, Narayani Shastri.
The couple had a spat about this while shooting for the new reality show Pati, Patni Aur Woh in Goa.

What happened was this: As per the rules of the show, the celebrity couples are allowed to speak to their friends and family for just 10 minutes every day, and Gaurav apparently spent his 10 minutes talking to Narayani.

A source from the shoot says, “Mouni checked Gaurav’s cell phone record and found that he has spoken to Narayani every day. She was shattered, and locked herself up in the bathroom and cried for a long time. Later on, Gaurav tried his best to pacify her but nothing happened. This drama went on for a few hours and the confrontation has not yet been solved.”

In response to this Narayani was quoted as saying, “I think the channel should think of promoting the show in different ways rather than trying to spoil people’s personal lives.”

Whatever happens, we’re going to be watching this jodi on Pati Patni Aur Woh.

Narayani Shastri and Saroj Khan will be seen judging one particular task given to the five couples in NDTV Imagine's Pati Patni aur Woh..


Narayani Shastri, the ex-girl friend of Gaurav Chopra along with the Dance Guru, Saroj Khan will be seen as judges for a particular task in NDTV Imagine's Pati Patni aur Woh, which is to launch on September 28th at the 10.30 PM slot.

The show will have the five chosen couples taking care of new born babies, feeding them whenever they are hungry, to changing diapers, from giving them a bath to putting them to sleep, they will have to do it all. And this is not all - they will have to run their house as a regular couple, doing laundry, cleaning toilets, cooking food etc. All this on a middle class budget, with absolutely no help from outside.

The show will see the couples go thro' various small tasks which will prove to be a test for them.

According to our source, "One such task was judged by Narayani Shastri and Saroj Khan".

When contacted, Narayani confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I will be judging one of the tasks with Saroj ji. The task was performed by all the five couples. It was a nice experience; all of them did perform really well in the given task. They had been given less time to prepare for it, but did it well".

The show has five couples in Apurva-Shilpa, Gaurav-Mouni, Gurmeet-Debinna, Sachin-Juhi and Rakhi-Elesh. The show will be hosted by Sharad Kelkar.
