Ultimate Big Brother 2010: Final eviction

There's only two days to go before Big Brother departs from our screens for the very last time.

And while the celebrities wait with baited breath to see who will be crowned the Ultimate Big Brother winner, two have already lost the battle as Michelle Bass and Vanessa Feltz fell at the penultimate eviction hurdle. The public decided to vote the two women out of the house but decided to keep Nick Bateman in.

Michelle was the first to leave as she became the fourth Ultimate Big brother housemate to be given the boot.

She was greeted by big cheers as she left the house and posed for the waiting press. She told host Davina McCall that she had been ready to leave but couldn't explain why she had been evicted. She said: 'I know Nadia and Makosi went out and I was tight with them, but it could be anything.

She appeared embarrassed when played footage of her risque antics during her first appearance in the Big Brother house in 2004.

In response to other housemates' observations she had become more introverted, she added: 'I'm actually a lot more confident and relaxed now. I was younger then, more carefree, get your ****s out all the time. 'I am here, I've just grown up a little bit more.'

Next to leave the house was radio presenter Vanessa Feltz, who looked slightly crestfallen when her name was read out but she departed the house graciously and gave her congratulations to Nick.

Aptly, Big Brother bosses played her fiancé Ben Ofoedu's hot single Turn Around when he was with house duo Phats and Small. And as she sat down with Davina, she said she had been delighted that she had lasted for six days, having only managed four on her previous stay in 2001 when she had a very public breakdown.

'It was a really big thing. Last time I just made three nights and four days and I cracked up, I was in a right old state. I wanted to get a bit beyond that and I have, so for me it's a personal best and I'm really delighted. She added: 'I'm in a much better place in my life, I went in, I felt better about myself.'
The show was briefly disrupted when a member of the crowd tried to break onto the set, shouting 'I love you, Vanessa!' but was stopped by security.

Seven remaining housemates are due to battle each other for the Ultimate Big Brother crown in Friday's grand finale.
They are Brian Dowling, Chantelle Houghton, Nikki Grahame, Samuel Preston, Ulrika Jonsson, Victor Ebuwa and Nick Bateman.
