Daler Mehndi loses two more participants this week on Zee TV’s, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar…


The competitive level on Zee TV's, singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar is getting fierce and completely unpredictable with every passing week.


Though the quality of singing is taking up an upward troll but the competitor number is lowering.

A Little Birdie informs us that, "This week among the three mentors Daler Mehndi was the unlucky one as he had to bid adieu to two of his talented contestants, Mughda Hasabnis and Harnoor Singh."

For the uninitiated, Mughda Hasabnis the 22 year girl from Mumbai had made a place for herself in top 18 through her magnificent opera singing style and had also received an opportunity to sing for Vishal even before the show started. She will even be seen singing at the Maha Aarti in Pavitra Rishta with her other two fellow contestants.

Our source also adds that, "This week fridays episode was graced by the ace singer A R Rehman and John Abrahim made an appearance in Saturday's episode for the promotion of his upcoming movie Jhoota Hi Sahi."

We wish all the remaining contestants Best of Luck for their future performances.

Vishal-Shekhar asked A R Rahman for autograph

They may be big names in the Bollywood music industry, but music director duo Vishal-Shekhar did not shy away from asking music maestro A.R. Rahman for his autograph.

They met Rahman on the sets of Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar -- the music maestro came with actor John Abraham to promote their upcoming project Jhootha Hi Sahi.

Vishal was especially enthusiastic about his first meeting with the Oscar winner and urged Rahman for an autograph, said a source from the sets.

On meeting Rahman, Vishal said: "Each decade in the Indian music industry has an identity - the melodious 60s, the swinging 70s, disco of the 80s and the 90s was a one man show - A.R. Rahman who pioneered a distinct phase in Indian film music combining western influences with Indian sounds, ranging from classical instruments to folk music."

Vishal even asked Rahman to sing the latter's version of Vande Mataram. But Rahman couldn't fulfill his wish.
"I will not be able to do justice to our national song today because it needs to be sung in a high pitch, and it will be difficult for me to summon that amount of energy on an empty stomach. It's the holy month of Ramzaan and I am fasting," Rahman said on the day of the shoot, Sep 7.



The special episode of the music reality show will be on air Friday.

MUMBAI: Music and entertainment label Saregama’s film ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’ has its soundtrack composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman, the music maestro who has revolutionized Indian film music.



As we all know, Rahman’s interest and outlook in music stems from his love for experimentation. After dishing out latest hits like Rang De Basanti, Ghajini, Delhi 6, Raavan and the much-acclaimed Slumdog Millionare, the Indian film composer, record producer, musician and singer is all set for the launch of his next project produced by Madhu Mantena.
“We will be organising a grand launch of the music. It will be released on the sets of the music show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on 17 September. AR Rahman, John Abraham, Pakhi, Madhu Mantena and Abbas Tyrewala will be present at the show,” revealed Saregama CEO Apurv Nagpal.



The album of the film consists of seven original tracks and two remix versions. “I think this will be Rahman’s best composition till now. Each song has a distinct feel. In fact, it seems like Rahman has created an entirely new genre of music with Jhoota Hi Sahi,” added Nagpal.



Saregama is planning for a 360 degree approach for marketing the film as well as its music. Apart from making the film’s music available in all the leading stores, it will be up on Saregama’s website for a hassle-free download. “We will be coming up with a premium CD set with a surprise in it. I would not like to disclose much about it right now but we are coming up with a few unusual and innovative ways to promote the film,” he added.
The romantic comedy film ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’ casts John Abraham and Abbas Tyrewala’s wife Pakhi. The film is set to release on 15 October.
