Traditional Scottish Stovies - Pot Supper (English Recipes)
Prep Time: 30 minutes or less | Cook Time: 1 - 2 hours | Serves: 4 Lunch » Beef » English Ingredients: This recipe is ideal for using up old potatoes, or left over Sunday Roast. It makes a tasty supper on a cold night, or a savory lunch. 1 kg Potatoes (Maris Piper is best) One or Two onions Beef left overs (Silverside, Top side) Beef Dripping or Bacon Dripping (See note below) I - 3 Tablespoon Gravy (or to taste) Seasoning Oat Cake (not in picture) |

Step 1:
If you cannot find set beef dripping, use the fat poured off your original roast, or the drippings from grilled bacon, chilled and left to set in the fridge. |

Step 2:
Start to gently melt a good amount of dripping in a large soup pot, over a medium heat. |

Step 3:
Peel and slice potatoes into rounds, and add to pot. |

Roughly chop onion and add to pot. |
