There’s no denying the impact the Coronavirus pandemic is having all over the world. Still, many Indians are wondering exactly how many precautions to take. Many organizations, music festivals, and awards shows have either been canceled or postponed due to coronavirus concerns. The same goes for movie premieres, as well as production schedules for TV and film. Cinema halls in Delhi, Kerala and Jammu & Kashmir are under lockdown till April 15 while Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu and parts of Maharashtra have also called for a shutdown till the month-end. Here’s a list of all the movies that have been affected by coronavirus.

Starring Irrfan Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Radhika Madan, Angrezi Medium Was released on March 13 Friday was lauded for the performances of Irrfan Khan and Deepak Dobriyal. With the abrupt shutdown of theatres in metros due to the coronavirus outbreak in India, the film gathered no steam and director Homi Adajania has no choice but to announce the re-release of the film when it’s safe in India.

The release of Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited action thriller Sooryavanshi, starring Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar with extended cameos by Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, has been postponed to an unconfirmed date. Predicted to be the biggest blockbuster of the first quarter of 2020, the delay in the release of this film is touted to have a massive impact on other Bollywood releases of the year.

The constantly-pushed Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar yet again stays delayed. Directed by Dibakar Banerjee, produced by Yash Raj Films, and starring Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor, the film was scheduled to release on the 20th of March. This is Parineeti and Arjun’s third collaboration after their 2012 debut Ishaaqzaade and 2018 rom-com Namaste England. You can read more about the film here.

Salman Khan’s filming of Radhe, directed by Prabhu Deva, is currently on hold. The filming was slated to take place in Azerbaijan but the team has decided to stay put. Radhe was to be an Eid release but it is likely to be postponed and after many years, we could be looking at a Bhai-free festival.

The release of Kabir Khan’s highly-awaited sports drama ’83 has also been delayed. The trailer, which was scheduled to launch on the 11th of March, was pushed without notice and is still not out yet. Today, the makers finally released a statement confirming that the movie will not release on the 10th of April like it was scheduled to. The new release date is still unknown.

Actor Shahid Kapoor has also announced that he has canceled the filming of his sports drama Jersey in which he plays a failed cricketer. The movie is scheduled to release in August and stands to be pushed.
