Swapna Waghmare Joshi is tipped to direct Ekta Kapoor's next show on Sony, which is likely to see the comeback of Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar..


Ekta Kapoor will soon be back with a fiction show on Sony Entertainment Television.. The show is apparently a fascinating love story between a middle aged guy and a lady. With this show, Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, the two loyalists of Balaji Telefilms are expected to stage a comeback.

Our source states, "The show will focus on the pure romance between a middle aged guy and a lady. Ram and Sakshi have been approached for the show, and talks are on at the moment. They have in fact verbally committed to the show, and formalities are being worked out at the moment".

The news abuzz is that Swapna Waghmare Joshi, the renowned Director who is presently co-producing Rang Badalti Odhani along with Beyond Dreams has been roped in to direct this special show.

"Swapna and Ekta's association has always been strong, and they have worked together for many years now. Ekta is indeed looking forward to working with Swapnaji all over again", adds our source.

When contacted, Swapna Waghmare Joshi told TellyBuzz, "Yes, talks are on with Ekta. We have had one narration and Ekta has an interesting concept in mind, and wants me to get on board as Director. But nothing has been finalized till now".

The show is supposed to have a tentative long title in 'Bade Achche Lagte Hai… Ye Dharti Ye Ambar Aur Tum'. The show is expected to launch in April at a prime time slot.

We tried contacting Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, but both remained unavailable.

Jay Kalra will play a pivotal role in Ekta Kapoor's next ambitious project for Sony TV...


Balaji Telefilms' unique love story 'Bade Achche Lagte Hai…Ye Dharti Ye Ambar Aur Tum' for Sony Entertainment Television, as we know is at its casting stage.

We have already reported about Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar playing the leads. Talented actor Eva Grover will be playing a pivotal role.

We now hear that Jay Kalra will be seen playing a young, lively and colourful character. Jay who debuted with Balaji Telefilms' Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil gets back to the small screen after a break of one year. He was last seen playing the character of Gyan in Sony's Bhaskar Bharti.

When contacted, Jay Kalra confirmed the news with TellyBuzz, "Yes, I am doing the show but I cannot tell you anything on the character. My first show with Balaji has given me fame and recognition in television, and it is a great feeling to be back. This is another great project".

Bade Achche Lagte Hai… will depict the beautiful romance of a middle aged couple, played by Ram and Sakshi.

The show is expected to go on floor some time in April.

The hot news is that Sameer Soni, popularly known as Purab of Jassi is all set to be back on television.. He is tipped to play the male lead in COLORS and Balaji's upcoming show..


Balaji Telefilms and COLORS join hands for the first time for a daily show, tentatively titled 'Bade Acche Lagte Hai'.

According to our source, "The show is a romantic comedy based in a rural area. And the big news is that Sameer Soni who wooed all his female fans as the dashing Purab in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi years back, is tipped to play the main lead in the show".

We called up Sameer who confirms that he is all geared up to stage a comeback to television. "Four years has been a decent break from television. After Jassi, I had been working on films. But it's time to get back to television. Yes, I have been approached to play the main lead in COLORS and Balaji show, Bade Acche Lagte Hai. The channel and production house are eager to work with me. Talks are surely on, but let's wait and see whether this show materializes or there is something else in store for me".

"For the female lead, hunt is on for a simple looking girl like Laali, the protagonist of Zee's Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. Earlier, the show was to be based on a Punjabi family, but the script has recently undergone a change and the focus will be on a Marwari family", adds our source.

Our source further informs, "Gracy Singh who made her debut in television with Amaanat before getting into the limelight with her success in Lagaan has also been approached to play the main lead. But nothing on this has been confirmed yet".

The Creative Director of the show is Sandiip Sikcand.

The show will be a daily and is expected to launch in September.

The latest is that Eva Grover has been more or less finalized to play a prominent role in Balaji Telefilms' unique love story on Sony TV..


We already know that Balaji Telefilms is planning a unique love story with talented actors Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. The show titled 'Bade Acche Lagte Hai…. Ye Dharti Ye Ambar Aur Tum' which is for Sony Entertainment Television is almost ready to go on floors.

While most of the younger cast in the show are new faces to television, we hear that talented actress Eva Grover is the only known face along with Ram and Sakshi.

Our source states, "Eva will essay a very important role in the show. Things have more or less been finalized, and she will in all probability be part of the show".

The show is supposed to be a love story between the middle aged Ram and Sakshi.

When contacted, Eva Grover told us, "Talks are certainly on, and I have been told that it is a very prominent character. However, nothing has been finalized till now".

Eva Grover has earlier enacted challenging roles in Bidaai, Do Saheliyaan, Jhansi Ki Rani etc.

Tarana Raja Kapoor to play a pivotal role in Balaji's upcoming show Bade Acche Laggte Hai… on Sony TV...

Balaji Telefilms' next offering on Sony Entertainment Television, Bade Acche Laggte Hai… Yeh Dharti,Yeh Nadiya,Yeh Rainna Aur Tum…is already in the headlines for its longest title.

The show which will see the comeback of Ram Kapoor and Saakshi Tanwar will have the likes of Eva Grover and Jay Kalra playing pivotal roles.

The latest to join the team is yet another Balaji loyalist, Tarana Raja Kapoor. The radio jockey cum actor has essayed vital roles in Ekta's Kkusum, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kuchh Is Tara.

A little birdie quips," Tarana will essay the role of Neha, the wife of Jay Kalra in the show. The suave couple will be business partners of Ram in the show".

When contacted, Tarana confirmed the news saying,"It's nice to be back with Balaji Telefilms. This is a very interesting story,and we are looking forward to it".

The show is expected to go on floor soon.

Tarana is presently part of Channel V's Dil Dosti Dance, produced by Cinevistaas.
