Zee TV's 'Keshav Pandit' - Full Details (Cast/Videos/Photos/Promos)

The success of Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV motivated Ekta Kapoor and she has started working on a serial 'Keshav Pandit' which is an adaptation of the bestselling novel written by famous Hindi writer Ved Prakash Sharma, it will be aired on Zee TV.

The title of the show 'Keshav Pandit' will also be the name of the main character.

The show was in pre-production stage for the past few months and it will air on Zee TV soon. The character has strong knowledge of the rules of law despite of not having a law degree. Through his knowledge he takes criminals to task and helps the victims.

Talking about the show, Ekta said in an interview, “This is an entirely new concept. The stories by Ved Prakash Sharma are very popular across North India and we want to take its appeal throughout India through our series. The stories are very interesting with a mix of suspense, thrills and high drama. I’m delighted that I have signed one of my favorite actors on TV Rajat Tokas for a special role.”

Author Ved Prakash Sharma too is overjoyed, “The stories on the show would be different from my books as it’s a little difficult to feature an entire novel into one episode.”

The serial will have the same concept that was written in the novel. Keshav Pandit, gets punished for a certain crime in childhood and this is when he is given a very important Law Book by someone, who asks him to read all the clauses mentioned in the book so that he uses them for his own interests. From that day onwards, without a law degree Keshav has a strong hold on the rules of the law, with his main weapon being his mind power and knowledge. Keshav's main aim is to help the downtrodden and the needy, at the same time wage an open war against the culprits.

Sarwar Ahuja of Imagine's Jyoti will play the protagonist who will be featured as ‘The Indian Version of Robinhood’. There will be few characters that will constantly assist Keshav Pandit in his cases. Ekta’s favorite Aman Verma will be seen playing a ****er in one of the initial episodes of the show. His role will be episodic and will be part of one of the stories.

Keshav Pandit is slated to launch by the end of May or by the first week of June on Zee TV

Ekta Kapoor's much awaited Keshav Pandit has announced its launch date. The promos are out on Zee TV and the show will launch on the 15th of May .The show will be aired every Saturday at 8: 30 pm.

As reported earlier, Rajat Tokas who was last seen portraying the character of Veer in Imagine serial Dharam Veer will play the younger version of the lead role of Keshav Pandit. Later, the character will be continued onscreen by Sarwar Ahuja who is presently seen in Imagine's Jyoti. Via Choudhary (of Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat) will portray the role of one of the girls in Keshav Pandit's life.

Rajat Tokas to play Junior Keshav Pandit

Rajat Tokas who was last seen in Dharam Veer and Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan bagged the lead role in Balaji Telefilms' action packed show for Zee TV, Keshav Pandit. He will play the Junior Keshav Pandit and will be addressed as Madhav. He would be part of the serial only for one episode.

Sarwar Ahuja of "Jyoti" fame will soon be seen playing the lead role of Keshav Pandit in Balaji's upcoming show "Keshav Pandit" on Zee TV. Keshav Pandit is actually an adaptation of best selling novel written by famous Hindi writer Ved Prakash Sharma.

Intially Shabbir Ahluwalia was considered to play the role of Keshav Pandit but later on creative team zeroed on Sarwar Ahuja. Rajat Tokas will portray the character of Junior Keshav Pandit where as Via Choudhary will be one of the girls in Keshav Pandit's life.
