Default TOP 10 Mind-Blowing Facts about Salman Khan’s Tubelight

“Bhaijaan” Salman Khan’s Tubelight, one of the most anticipated films of 2017, is just around the corner and the fans seem already geared up for the upcoming Kabir Khan directorial venture. Be it Bajrangi Bhaijaan or Ek Tha Tiger, the actor-director duo hasn’t failed to entertain the audiences. If these movies were not enough, mind you, Tiger Zinda Hai (the sequel of Ek Tha Tiger) is slated to release in December this year.

Coming back to Tubelight, here are some lesser known facts about the movie that every fan should know before its release:

1. Hollywood Inspiration

Tubelight is reportedly inspired by the 2015 Hollywood film “Little Boy”, wherein an 8-year-old boy tries whatever he can to stop the World War II so that he can bring his ‘soldier’ father home. However, the makers of Tubelight have changed the plot somewhat and instead of a son-father pair, the film features 2 brothers, one of whom is a soldier.

2. Real-Life-Reel-Life Brothers

Sohail Khan, Salman’s younger brother in real life, will portray the latter’s elder brother in the movie. Quite contrasting though!

3. Sino-Indian War

It is 1962 and the war between China and Indian has had catastrophic consequences for the family of the deceased soldiers. However, ‘Laxman’, played by Salman Khan, may though be a slow learner (a tubelight); he is not one of those who give up easily. The protagonist sets out to look for his ‘soldier brother’, Sohail Khan, who has gone missing after the war. Although the odds are high that Laxman’s brother is no more, he is still in no mood to give up the search. Will Laxman find his brother? Only time will tell.

4. Zhu Zhu’s debut Bollywood Movie

Since the movie revolves around two countries, India and China, odds were high that the film would feature a Chinese actor in a significant role. Thus, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu was chosen as the ‘lucky one.’

5. Same Release Date

Tubelight is the first Bollywood film that will release on the same date in both India and China. Notably, most of the commercially successful Indian films are released in China after a few months of the official Indian release date.

6. Om Puri’s “Farewell” Film

It is quite unfortunate that Om Puri is no more with us; however, his legacy will stay behind in the form of Tubelight, and we hope that though his role may be short, it leaves a lasting impression as was the case in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, where the late actor played a ‘Maulana’ (a Muslim scholar)

7. ‘Karan-Arjun’ are back!

It is nothing less than a treat for fans when they get to see the two Khans, Salman & Shah Rukh, share the same screen. For the fans that were desperately waiting to see the two in the same frame again, their wait finally ends here as Shah Rukh Khan plays a ‘cameo’ role in the movie.

Let’s see how the movie fares at the box-office and if it can break some records set by the likes of Dangal and Bahubali. If you know some other interesting facts about the movie, please feel free to share them in the comments section at the bottom of this page. Cheers!
