Barun Sobti is an Indian model and an actor. He started his acting career with the STAR Plus television series Shraddha opposite Neha Jhanpandit. He became popular with romantic drama Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? where he played the character of Arnav Singh Raizada (ASR) opposite Sanaya Irani. He has entered into bollywood with the film Main Aur Mr. Right. He was seen in a web series Tanhaiyan.

Biography

Barun Sobti was born on 21 August 1984 into a Punjabi family. He has completed his schooling from St. Mark's School, Meera Bagh and graduation from Delhi itself. He is multilingual and good at English, Hindi and Punjabi. He has worked as an operation manager at Jindal Telecom for 7 years before entering into entertainment industry.

Career

Barun made his acting debut in 2009 with the daily soap Shraddha as Swayam Khurana. Later he appeared in a cameo role in popular show Dill Mill Gayye as Raj Singh. He left the show to join the TV serial Baat Hamari Pakki Hai, where he portrayed the character of Shravan Jaiswal opposite Ankita Sharma as Sanchi. He shot to fame with the television series Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? on Star Plus.

He has also hosted the 2012 Star Parivaar Awards and performed in the Star Parivaar Live Concert 2012 in Birmingham, UK. He was titled the 3rd ***iest Asian Man by UK magazine Eastern Eye in 2013.
