Default Cranberry Walnut Bread (Christmas Recipes)

Prep Time: 30 minutes or less | Cook Time: 30 minutes - 1 hour | Serves: 10
Breads » Fruit Bread » American

Ingredients:

I love to bake breads, and this is one of my favorites to make. It's especially great around this time of year when fresh cranberries are in abundance.

I doubled my normal recipe so I could make two loaves (one for me, one to freeze for the relatives around Christmas), so that is why there is so much of each ingredient. To make just one loaf, divide the recipe in half.

4 Tbsp unsalted ****er, room temperature
4 cups all-purpose flour (plus more for your pan)
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp grated orange zest
2 cups orange juice
2 cups cranberries (fresh is best)
2 cups chopped walnuts.

Step 1:

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
****er and flour a loaf pan (8 1/2 by 4 1/2 inch) so the bread won't stick.
