LOOK: The fresh faces that sell
Here's those who've ousted big guys like SRK and Ash from the ad world.
 With no new releases in the theatres, the action has shifted to the endorsement world. Brands are going all out to sign up Bollywood stars to promote everything from chewing gums to moisturisers. Interestingly it's not the same old faces we are used to seeing. A cola brand has dropped SRK for a younger (read cheaper) face, while Aishwarya Rai has also lost her contract with a cosmetic giant to the Masakalli girl. So let's take a look at the new faces who are taking the ad world by storm.

 Asin: She was the unknown face opposite Saif in the Taj Mahal Tea ad. But today the Ghajini girl enjoys a rare pan-Indian appeal across a cross section of fans. It's hard not to fall in love with that girl-next-door face and vibrant personality. Over the years Asin has been associated with the Southern campaigns of many high profile brands and her portfolio will now only get bigger. Latest endorsement: CavinKare

 Deepika Padukone: She's a pro at ads. But as an actress Deepika has been pretty choosy about her endorsements. But given the global slowdown, where no one is really in a mood for luxury spends, Deepika has interestingly decided to endorse a chewing gum. In fact she's not alone; rumour has it that a superstar Khan might also be roped in the as the new face of a mouth freshner. Latest endorsement: Orbit

 Genelia: The Jaane Tu...girl reminds us of a young Preity Zinta from her Liril days. She has quickly lapped up three plum brands - which are not surprisingly targetted at the college-going janta.
