Default 'Bhairi Piya' on COLORS - Full Details

Balaji Telefilms' first daily soap on COLORS, 'Bhairi Piya' is a story set in the suburbs of Vidharbh in Maharashtra, wherein the farmers eagerly wait for the rains to give them the much needed money and food. And the show also deals with the pitiable state of the farmers who are often deprived of rains, which leads to many of them committing suicide. Amidst this back drop is set a love story.

The show was earlier to be based on a Rajasthani concept, but will now revolve around two families, a Marwari and a Maharashtrian family.

According to our source, "The shoot for the show was expected to start on September 1st, but due to the delay in finalizing the main cast, the shoot dates have been postponed. The show is now expected to launch in early October".

As for the main cast, our source states, "Sharad Kelkar of Saat Phere fame has been approached to play a pivotal role in the show. Supriya Kumari who played the happy-go-lucky friend of Laali, Shanichari in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo has been finalized to play the female lead. Also Amarr Upadhyay has been approached for an important role in the show".

"Rookie actor Akhilesh has been finalized to play the Chote Thakur in the show. Along with him, will be seen new faces Kadambari and Priyamvada. Also, Annu Kamal who was seen playing the mother of Sakett in the very first story of Koi Aane Ko Hai has been roped in to play a major role", states our source.

As per our source, "The muhurat shot for Bhairi Piya along with a Puja has been organized today by the production house".

When contacted, Sharad Kelkar said, "Talks were on, but I don't know what is happening right now. I am out of Mumbai".

We tried calling Supriya and Amarr Upadhyay, but they remained unavailable.

Sandiip Sikcand, Creative Director said, "Bhairi Piya is Balaji show. But we cannot talk about the show now, you better talk to the channel".
