2011: Upcoming regional remakes in Bollywood
 Bodyguard Bollywood films have often been inspired by Hollywood, regional films, books and sometimes real life stories. Some inspirations churn out blockbusters while some simply bomb at the BO. This year too many are being inspired by movies made down south, lets take a look at some of them... 'Bodyguard' is originally a hit Malayalam film with Dileep and Nayantara as its leads. The Bollywood remake will have Salman Khan who is said to be paired opposite Kareena Kapoor. The film is to be produced by Atul Agnihotri while Siddique who directed the Malayalam 'Bodyguard' will also be directing the Hindi version. At present the film is still at scripting stages.

 Ready The promos are out and people are eagerly waiting for the film. 'Ready' is the Hindi version of the hit Telugu film also titled 'Ready'. The Telugu film had Ram and Genelia as its leading pair while the Bollywood version has Salman and Asin. 'Ready' is produced by Bhushan Kumar and is directed by Aneez Bazmee.

 Ko Akshay Kumar recently went for the special screening of the Tamil movie, 'Ko'. Highly impressed with the political thriller, he is in talks with RS Infotainment to buy the rights of the film. Akshay may produce and act in the film as well. In Tamil, Jeeva and Karthika Nair were playing the main lead.

 Singham The 'Golmaal' trilogy maker, Rohit Shetty is directing the remake of the Tamil film, 'Singham' which in Hindi is also titled 'Singham'. Ajay Devgn who is playing a Marathi cop will be paired opposite South Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal.

 Bommarillu The Hindi version of the hit Telugu film, 'Bommarillu' is being produced by Boney Kapoor and Sridevi. Genelia who starred in 'Bommarillu' will also be in the Hindi film titled, 'It's my Life'. Some say the father-son role in the film will be played by the Bachchans while some state that Harman Baweja has already been signed for the role.
