The chilling night at the Global Village in Dubai saw many stars getting together on one platform for Golds Awards 2008. The event was full of masti and energy where the celebrities as well as the audiences of Dubai enjoyed the function. brings to you some interesting tit-bits from the happening night.

Not many know that Sanjeeda Sheikh received the award for Best actress in a Negative role for Kayamath on her birthday. However, in the afternoon, she was spotted [COLOR=darkgreen ! important]shopping for her birthday with beau Aamir Ali at the famous City Center Mall of Bur Dubai.

Rucha Gujarathi the cute looking actress was honored with a unique award called Balti Award for ‘The Most Malnutritioned Actress of Television’. Chetan Hansraj too received a Balti Award for his Daring act of slapping a co-contestant on stage in a [COLOR=darkblue ! important]reality show[/COLOR] (Remember Chetan hitting a contestant in 9X’ Bollywood Ka Ticket which raised many eyebrows??).

Alok Nath had a gala time in Dubai. On the Awards night, he did a samba form of dance with the local dancers who performed on a multi-cultural dance format. Paresh Ganathra and J. D. Majethia too joined in with their version of salsa and samba.

Every time an actor from Bidaai won an award, the team from the show walked to the stage to receive the award. For example, when Parul Chauhan won the award for Best Gold Debut Female, Rajan Shahi, Alok Nath, Kinshuk Mahajan and Angad Hasija accompanied her to the stage. Well, a perfect example of one big family, isn’t it??

Ali Asgar the host of the show did a very funny Aamir Khan act from the flick Gajani, and got a thundering response from the audience gathered.

Last but not the least, the take off script of latest Bollywood and television flops of super heroes performed by Abhishek Awasthi, Sunil Grover and many others was indeed the best performance of the nite, and was applauded by the audience.
