12/24 Karol Bagh gets an 'indefinite extension'

One of Zee’s most loved families, the Sethi family will soon be saying alvida to the viewers. Rumours doing the round were that the show was set to go off air on October 15 however the latest update is it has got an indefinite extension, which means the serial will be pulled off air at a later date.

A source says, “12/24 Karol Bagh has been through a lot of changes recently. The show that was initially aired at the 10 pm slot but was later brought ahead to 7 pm. However this did not affect the TRPs much except a slight dip. The channel now has taken the decision to pull the show off air to make way for new show Dil Se Diya Vachan.”

Sudhir Sharma of Sunshine Productions says, “Initially, the channel had informed us we were to go off air by 15th; now the show has got an indefinite extension. TRPs are not the reason for the show being pulled off air because even though the show saw a time slot change we got a consistent rating. The show had garnered a 1.1 last week. The channel is coming up with a new programming strategy and new, fresh shows lined up for which it needs time slots and thus the decision was taken.”

We tried getting through to Zee’s fiction head, Sukesh Motwani but he remained unavailable for comment.
